Two Palestinians have been killed and several others injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a displacement tent in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, in the latest violation of the October 2025 ceasefire, medical sources said.

Sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Anadolu agency that the tent, located near the hospital, was sheltering displaced Palestinians when it was hit.

The victims were identified as Mohammed Nasser Abu Assad and Ibrahim Nasser Abu Assad.

Israeli warplanes also carried out two strikes near the hospital, whilst artillery shelling targeted an area south of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

Escalating strikes

Hours earlier on Sunday, Israeli attacks across central and southern Gaza killed two Palestinians, including a child, and injured 14 others.

A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said two fatalities and seven injuries resulted from an Israeli strike on the town of Az-Zawayda in central Gaza, shortly after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning.

Israeli forces have carried out daily violations of the ceasefire in place since October 10, which have killed 1,286 people and wounded 4,257, according to Palestinian Health Ministry data.

Israel launched its genocide in Gaza in October 2023, killing more than 73,000 Palestinians, wounding over 174,000, and devastating about 90 percent of the enclave's civilian infrastructure.
