Two Palestinians were killed, and others injured early on Monday in Israeli attacks on Gaza, despite the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.

An Anadolu correspondent, citing a medical source, said Mohammed Abdul Nasser Abu Asad, 27, was killed and others were injured, one of them seriously, when an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced people near Shuhadaa Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

Separately, another Palestinian died of wounds sustained in an Israeli drone strike Sunday that targeted a tent sheltering displaced people west of the city, a medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said.

The Israeli strike had injured seven Palestinians at the time.

Eyewitnesses also reported heavy Israeli gunfire from military vehicles toward homes and tents for displaced people in southern and eastern Khan Younis, with no injuries reported.

Israeli artillery also shelled the Abu Rashid area south of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, witnesses said.

The attacks came despite US President Donald Trump’s call for Israel to stop strikes on Gaza.

In an interview with Fox News on August 17, Trump said “Israelis should not be striking in Gaza. Hamas agreed to lay down their weapons,” under his plan to end the war in the enclave.

Ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire have killed 1,286 Palestinians and injured 4,257 others as of Sunday, according to Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza.

The ministry also said the overall toll from Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023 had risen to 73,420 killed and 174,369 injured.
