I'm looking for discount codes for Sky broadband (Unlimited) + phone with evn and w/e calls free, Seems Sky is the best price atm (26 per Mnth,) But......

I fail to see how they can charge a bloody fortune (£39) in admin to switch on a dead phone line :@ Hells bells, Hell I'd have had the Sky+ TV with HD TV installed too if the F***Wits didn't want to charge me £30 for a man to come in a plug the damned box into the cable and dish that's already bloody instlled dammit.

So Discount codes? (I'm tight) but I'll take any you have for any operator that will give me Unlimited Broadband, and Telephone with free evening and weekend call option, though If Virgin, then the superfast service is a must, even at that extra expense, I'll make the damned thing pay for me :)

It seems to me that This woman picked up an article I wrote 12 years ago, explaining how the postal vote system was being abused, and it did follow that with many non-english speaking residents here, and these were the people who trust their church and other church members to translate and fill in forms for them, there's certainly scope for voting fraud as there's a high chance (One of their own) is also a member of same church. and as 3 MP's got caught for it in this very town at last election (same happenned in previous one, but they did not get caught) isn't it about time we were given a better voting system?

I spotted this 15 years+ ago, hell even had a chat with as many MP's and candidates as I could before Giving up on the idea of a fair election system in this country.

Then of course, How to... a computerised voting system isn't the way to go (yet) as the software can't easily be checked by your average official, so many methods of switching software for the tests as opposed to the real counts too, so what can we do?

Well, no "real" need for "Brilliance" per se, you just got to have a better ability with simple logic than I...

Seems, I can, with the addition of a few IC's (Integrated circuits/CHIPS), and a few other componants, (Though RS is peeing me off insisting I buy many in 25's and 50's in some cases :@) with ease, build (I'll put it simply) a unit that will allow my computer to operate 8 switches.

Now I may well have a need to send some feedback to the computer saying "That process is complete" or some such so I'll say I now have just 6 switches. Using a little binary knowledge (1's and 0's make my head explode) I'm of the opinion that with a number of and gates, I can easily convert this to 64 potential commands, 000000, 000001... through 111111, I am however desperately trying not to go too complicated on my first electronics project for some years...

What I need the brilliant minds for is...

1) I need a cheap method of stepper motor control (effectively) where all I'd need is to input Direction and force (3 force options), But this, to me, screws with my head electronicaly. The very fact that the motor input needs to be a 4 digit binary number and no more than 3 of those digits should be 1 (or ON) at the same time is screwing with my mind.

I'm damned sure this would be easily done with a shed load of logic "gates", but for the life of me, I cannot figure this one out.

ack dammit, time to trash the house further to find my soldering iron, Found my Desolder pump, just gotta find the Iron now to salvage more much needed parts from the Lexmark all in one print-scanner thingie that's already donated a stepper motor to the cause. Mebbee it'll all come to me soon.

Well, I had to go into ton alone yesterday (Trace just wasn't feeling up to it) so I took my bike, thinking of the bus fare saving.

Downhill much of the way there, it's getting home that's usually the problem. but hell, there's me, open road, must have been hitting 30 as no-one behind me was overtaking, but some prune decides it's HIS road and pulls out on me!, Words to the effect of "Please try to open your eyes when on the road" were utterred as I was now gripping handfulls of both brakes and sliding sideways into this myopic plank, then thankfully he finally put his toe down and got out of my way in order that I could use the piece of road I, by rights had right of way on.

I'm not overly sure he took my words of encouragement to drive a little safer, too well, but hell I was well out of the way by the time this neanderthal realised exactly what he'd done.

I wonder if, had I been on a motorcycle, he'd have noticed me sooner, I certainly would have lacked the control I had over my mountain bike due to weight alone, but hell at least motorcycles have better brakes than push-bikes. Don't let guvmint fool you, pedal cycles are very dangerous when added to road users in metal boxes.

Now I've been thinking for a while now about this, but can't think of a sensible way of implementation, maybe you can help???

I'm looking at building a scale model of a Dutch Windmill, prolly with an octagonal base, with a std shed shaped top to put on my allotment, prolly to be used as a hedgehog home, though ideally to be used as a battery charger if I can get the power needed from the multitude of electric motors I've picked up dismantling "Stuff" hunting for stepper motors.

Now, obviously if used as a hedgepig/moth home, the base can't rotate, (Can't have disorientated hedgepigs hu? they'd end up drowning in the pond and dead ones won't eat too many slugs) I'm looking at building the base and shed parts from used pallet timber, but feel that would be way to heavy to use as sail shape-formers (Sails for these are usualy a timber former holding fabric sails. so has anyone any ideas what I should use?

Problem II. Large Windmills Kill bats, (The pressure drop when they are running causes their lungs great problems) I'm wondering if anyone knows the mathematics of this (Fluid dynamics was never my strong point) and just how large I could get away with to be safe, (I'm actually looking at sails prolly 12-16" long, 4-6" wide, 1/2" deep (If I can get strong, light material scrap to use.)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

If we all ignore the publicity in the Mass Media with regards to Famine, Drought, Poverty in the third world nations?

It's too good an Ideal I guess because theres no way in hell big biz would ignore the "Free" advertising from it all, and as such big biz could really screw the already desperate to the ground w/o having any comeback, just like Nestle did in the days no-one knew or cared.

But just IF... we could ban all adverts or any mention on the TV with regards to foreign problems, the empathetic of this country would no-longer feel "Obliged" to send vast sums of cash to pay another "Charity worker" and charity payrolls, would the world all come to an end?

No, come on, we've had what? 200 years of global news? only just recently has it become as good as Instant, very few people used to travel great distances, poverty famin and all the other "Plagues" have been around in that time and with little international "Help" yet still most of these nations have survived one way or another.

Whilst I'll admit many of the present day problems in the third world may have been caused by the western empire-builders in the past, so we should feel obliged to assist and send them all thank you cards for our inherited wealth, I don't feel that sending food aid is the way to help these countries, Manual tools and managerial skills on the other hand, so that more people are needed to work the land for food, surely is the best method long-term?

Hell, I say same for Blighty, Stop using those bloody combines, then put all who are not presently working but are able to work in the fields for their benefit moneys, it wouldn't take long out playing with dirt in the rain before finding a better job or training would appeal more to them than sitting watching daytime TV. I guess though "Human rights" comes into play once more.

It can't just be me thinking that the Hizballah /Israel "Conflict" seems to be ever perpetuating, one of my earliest memories of "News stories" is of "The west bank" when it was mentionned on news articles as "The Palestinian West Bank", more recently of course it's been known as "The West bank, Israel", I'll assume this is one and the same West Bank? Mebbee one of you better versed in Geography than I could help here?

Now, I've not done my research here, just listened to/read News articles, but it seems to me that this "Conflict" is a petty squabble over "religious"/Sacred land, and "God" says...

Having seen some rather upsetting yootoobs(sic) it doesn't seem as though the Israeli Police are into "Conflict resolution" either, prefering to beat the hell out of Palestinians, "Just in case".

Now I've suggested before, we should send Marmite over to offer the vitamins they tend to lack in unleavened bread that leads to aggressive tendencies, but surely, in all reality, an "open borders" policy could solve most, if not all land squabbles? simply don't allow Immigrants to claim benefits they have not paid into (benefits are after all little short of a corrupt insurance scheme), increase security where needed with the savings. Jobs might be a little problematic, but hell, there's work all over the world if you so wish (and are physically able to) to take that path in life.

Isn't it time we all just learned to "Get along"?

Well, yet again, no sleep due to my trying to pllough on with the web project and sort that right and on time, I get a call from Wifie and Friend suggesting I get my ass down to "The shop"(a charity they run), To "Look at the floor", FFS I wanted my bed, I can look at floors anywhere, but sounded like someone had been murderred on this one or at least it was doing backflips judging by the Urgent tone.....

Got down there to find carpet fitters had ripped up the carpet to "Screed" (pour leveling compound on Me finks) and found holes you could post a small dog through to the celler through.....

Now, Imagine this, Charity to assist disabled peeps, carpet fitters swearing blind they can't fix (It's Poets day ffs) down to muggins to get stuff sorted.

So I find the cause of the problems and yet again, I tell you "IT'S THOSE FUGGIN MONKEYS AGAIN" DAMMIT, seems to me that at some point someone could not be assed grouting those 2.5" hexagonal floor tiles that had, seemingly been laid on just 3" of concrete (and having seen no support 'cept the joists in the cellar, I'd love to know how that trick was performed) so it looks like they coverred that in tar/bitchumen, laid Linolium over that, then a few years later must have had some problems, but tech being better, some tile adhesive thrown on with an artex trowel and 5mm hardboard laid on the top (It's my guess to Hide a few problems)

Me, I suggested in the first instance, top with 12mm ply (In order to keep the place open) but in the long term big skip, big blokes and chisels, remove and laying some loftboarding would be best. but hell no, it was insisted upon that I fetch my spurs and ask no q's, so sent peeps out for tools, string, filler saw and a small sheet of 1/2 inch ply and some 2*1 to secure, plugged the holes and filled with parrot food pollyfilla. I'm sure that there are those among you that believe 12mm of leveling compound and latex will solve the problems, please stay the hell away from buildings I frequent.

Anyhaps, the concrete +tiny hex tile problem, anyone any ideas? who in their right mind laid such things? and how the hell was seemless concrete(ie I can't believe it was laid as a sheet) laid directly onto joists? yet lacks the will to survive now? and how many people must die by "Sudden stopping on a cellar floor" before one gets sued?

BS, (IMHO) the people need to knowhow their governing bodies live, and sure as hell, it's a damned site better than they do! and when you consider the parties they have (Work) where tables are collapsing under the weight of (certainly not cheap) Champagne for a mere (and they are all fixed btw) mayoral election, one has to wonder exactly why we pay them surely?

This is a sad day for science, and a worse one for freedoms within the UK, but one can only hope that this will highlight the BS policies made using data from pseudo-science, and no real research is done "Just in case".

This chart, detailing...

co2, co2c13 and co2o18 detected at Barrow Alaska and American Samoa. and robbed from <a href="http://instaar.colorado.edu/sil/research/research_detail.php?research_project_ID=1">Here</a>, has a pretty well drawn graph (Well certainly if one was to look into statistical analysis of the situation) for the Alaskan results, yet the American ones look to have been plotted in CRAYON?????

FFS Amerkins, you claim to "Lead the world" in everything from Liberty through War (Though the latter your history of timekeeping let you down somewhat!) yet when it comes to Science, your scientists plot in Crayon!

Considering where the Fraudsters are, and the monies involved in these sorts of propaganda projects, I can see why, and much as it Irks me, people still chase you like the cartoon Lemmings over a cliff edge.

Now Oddly, I'd also suggest a different Pseudo-scientist plotted each of your charts, as with the CO2, you seem to claim to be in the bottom range of the Alaskan Figures, the co2c13 and co2o18 , the upper end only seems to be plotted, with the full range of figures like the Alaskans have offerred, an exhaustive analysis could take place, but that's not what you want now is it, That'd be like a truely independent inquiry, where of course, you could not tell the auditors the outcome they are meant to come to, and then of course you couldn't Tax the minions more hu?

I asked the other day about why potentialy life course altering movies were not put on at a reasonable time of the day to allow those with jobs to view them....

Finaly today we have "Good Will Hunting" on at almost a reasonable hour, and on a terrestrial channel, but as it ends after 00:00 BST, still far too late for the modern working class, who are the real people who's opinions need to be changed.

nm, I guess It's not a movie for those types either, there's only a little violence, no guns and no "Hollywood bangs", we're doomed...

For those of you who missed it and are yet to read my info page, a transcript of my fave scene, (can't find the yootoob :( )......

Say I'm working at N.S.A. Somebody
puts a code on my desk, something nobody
else can break. So I take a shot at
it and maybe I break it. And I'm real
happy with myself, 'cause I did my job
well. But maybe that code was the
location of some rebel army in North
Africa or the Middle East. Once they
have that location, they bomb the
village where the rebels were hiding
and fifteen hundred people I never had
a problem with get killed.
(rapid fire)
Now the politicians are sayin' "send
in the Marines to secure the area"
'cause they don't give a shit. It
won't be their kid over there, gettin'
shot. Just like it wasn't them when
their number got called, 'cause they
were pullin' a tour in the National
Guard. It'll be some guy from Southie
takin' shrapnel in the ass. And he
comes home to find that the plant he
used to work at got exported to the
country he just got back from.
And the guy who put the shrapnel in
his ass got his old job, 'cause he'll
work for fifteen cents a day and no
bathroom breaks.
Meanwhile my buddy from Southie realizes
the only reason he was over there was
so we could install a government that
would sell us oil at a good price.
And of course the oil companies used
the skirmish to scare up oil prices so
they could turn a quick buck. A cute,
little ancillary benefit for them but
it ain't helping my buddy at two-fifty
a gallon. And naturally they're takin'
their sweet time bringin' the oil back
and maybe even took the liberty of
hiring an alcoholic skipper who likes
to drink seven and sevens and play
slalom with the icebergs and it ain't
too long 'til he hits one, spills the
oil, and kills all the sea-life in the
North Atlantic. So my buddy's out of
work and he can't afford to drive so
he's got to walk to the job interviews
which sucks 'cause the shrapnel in his
ass is givin' him chronic hemorrhoids.
And meanwhile he's starvin' 'cause every
time he tries to get a bite to eat the
only blue-plate special they're servin'
is North Atlantic scrod with Quaker State.

So what'd I think? I'm holdin' out
for somethin' better. I figure I'll
eliminate the middle man. Why not
just shoot my buddy, take his job and
give it to his sworn enemy, hike up
gas prices, bomb a village, club a
baby seal, hit the hash pipe and join
the National Guard? Christ, I could
be elected President.

Push anyones buttons?

Well apparrently A transport minister should have first hand knowledge of how the stystem works, erm yeah, ok great, BUT......

Instead of warning the Rail providers that you are coming so they make everything clean and tidy for you, May I suggest that :-

1) You now choose another day to travel, to knock them offguard.

2) You turn up as many disabled passengers have to, ie alone, AND in a wheelchair.

3) Realise that Trains are not the only forms of public transport!

May I suggest your getting on a train at wapping, get off at Kettering, figure how to get from there to Corby (Little Scotland), then off to the real Scotland without the monies to pay for a taxi-fare, as many disabled folks without large expense accounts to steal from utilise have the need to do regularly!

If your going to do a job FFS do it propperly, hell, whilst you are in Corby in your wheelchair, visit the Library, Public conveniences, the Cinema, the Theater, and the swimming bath complex, I'd love to see how you manage that one.

Hell, Take a trip to Burnley too, Get off at either Rose Grove, OR central station, Hell the Barracks has rather an interesting style of "Disabled access" too, Very steep hill, meaning NHS wheelchair users, need to get up backwards, or risk being "Turtled".

Come on man, Transport minister, P*** Off.

Last May it emerged that Mr Brown had paid his brother Andrew £6,577 for arranging cleaning services for his Westminster flat for 26 months.

Damn, £6,577 as an arrangement fee, I've said for some time now I've always been in the wrong trade, that just takes the biscuit,

It was also revealed the prime minister had claimed twice for the same plumbing work within six months of each other.

This is happenning all too often, ARREST THE MAN, hell if these con-artists had to produce real receipts and the accounting staff at the Hop were forced to check into all expenses above £50 (Like happens in all REAL BIZ) this problem would be solved overnight.

both potentialy life-changing (and mebbee political view-changing) movies, yet only aired on British TV at a time only Insomniacs, drunkards and junkies are likely to view them.

Now censorship is censorship, no matter whether it's censoring Reading material or Or other art I mean, FFS, Everyones seen the Blue Lagoon right? guess that wasn't deemed offensive at the time.

Censoring books, or any material for political gain though, hell even just causing waves about it, FUCK OFF AND DON'T BUY IT OR BORROW IT FROM THE LIBRARY, if it's on your TV, you know where the OFF button is right?

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Harry Potter author JK Rowling missed out on the Presidential Medal of Freedom because some US politicians believed she "encouraged witchcraft". >/i>

Burn her, Burn her, or should I fetch the ducking stool? FFS people, This woman got 1/2 your kids to start reading again, and THIS is how you repay her for relieving you of £20+ per book?

Other classic literature subjected to complaints include JD Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Hell, then we may as well burn all copies of Will Smiths "Six degrees of seperation" too then hu? simply because it mentions a bad book. FFS, all computers too you all know they are only modern porn devices right? so it figures that All mathematics books from Babbage to Turin......

Whatever next? I'd start teaching your kids to goose step if they are heading for the forces people I tell ye, hell Stuff the Bring n buy sales, lets all have Weekly book burnings? I'll start a fire, just bring n burn, no questions asked, but at least then we can almost be certain of a generation of compliant non educated non thinking people, Just what your government needs!

Enough of the Censorship Morons, you claim we live in a Free society... then again you also claim it's a democracy *Shrug

However......

Have None of you ever thought of looking around, window shopping even? see what else is on offer, or are we all sheeps now?

Me, I heard of Wolfram Alpha a while back, I shrugged it off, probably because of its "wussy stuck-up name", but I did read about it, then, after researching logs from users of my own software (they clicked on the OK to gather info bit) it dawned on me, Wolfram might just have the edge over google for those who know not how most computer-related brains and hence the parsers they design interpret the info they are given!

Here, an exampe:-

What is the speed of light?" (Wolfram)

What is the speed of light?" (Google)

Though Google still has the edge on speed (Like Milliseconds mean much to the average researcher), Wolfram to me seems to have "The more definitive answer to the most 'humanised' question", It's "slow" but I'm bloody sure, for some it's the ideal search engine, ask a simple Q, get a definitive answer, hell almost like a Sun reporter asked for a search engine to suit his needs ;

Got My Birthday Prezzie from Trace on Thursday, one of those Cheap Asda mountain Bikes, and like hers, for 70 notes, I wasn't expecting much....

I tell you, There's no way you could get an english firm to build the Frame and Wheels for that money, though it did take me about 5 hours to put together (well a 1/2 job as I'm still lacking any loctite and copper grease, but needs must) Finaly got round to finishing the set-up today Strange "V type" brakes seem to have taken over from the perfectly servicable caliper type these days, and if your wheels are even slightly buckled these will be a pain! pretty standard deraileur(sp) set-up, though it's the builders job to set the "end stop screws" correctly as though they are factory fitted, they aint set correctly.

Only niggles I have with the things are the inner tubes are not fitted correctly (I've had to re-fit 2 out of 4), no pump is provided (£5 footpump from ASDA works, but hardly "Transportable") yet again I find that whoever is responsible for greasing the headstock does so in a gritty environment, and I'm going to have to buy me a spoke tool and learn to True a wheel, because 4 out of four of them seem to have been badly built in the first place, or damaged in transit.

On the plus side though, I proved today that I can ride the 0.8 miles to Tesco Faster than a car driver (Sticking to the speed limit) can, even though it wasn't fully set-up AND it's a heavy chunk of metal to be lugging about it's stable and maneuverable, and with any luck it'll help me on my way to getting back to being "fit" again (Well until I get a car of a motorcycle anyway ;)

OK OK, so the likes of Norwich onion want to charge me excessively for insurance for my future bike/car, wheras Rampdale (a chinese motorcycle insurance specialist (or so they'd have you believe)) knocks chunks from the premium asked by NU (or is it arriva now? :S

Anyhaps, I'm presently on the verge of being given (yes Gratis) a motor car with 10 months MOT and Tax that will see me thorough to January, However, I'm damned sure I'm not going to be happy paying through the nose (some quotes are in excess of £30 per week) for a car who's value in all reality is under £300 (and that's if I'm lucky enough to find someone wanting it for banger racing!)

So, to cut to the kwick(sp) Who are the Car insurance equivilent of Rampdale? Cheap and chearful car insurers if you will? and before you all get on at me I know cheap isn't always good, but if I can find a reasonable quote, I'll insure for business use and get my lazy ass off my settee 3-4 times a week to go deliver Pizzas to rich people, get myself up and fit again then with any luck next year I'll have the means to pay for a reasonable bunch of con artists to "insure me".

Bloody £1800 for biz insurance, ffs, I've not had quotes that high since I was a 21 year old with an Opel Manta dammit.

The Obama Deception --- Alex Jones, a similar version is here

I know many of you don't like Alex Jones, his smaller stuff a while back tended to make him look like a sensationalist P**ck, but thankfully in this one he's heard and not seen much.

Makes for interesting viewing, especially for Zeitgeist fans.

OK, So Blighty don't Make anything worth a damn anymore, but neither do we grow the basic foods we need, but hey, No worries, Let's buy stuff that uses a whole lot of water from areas at risk of drought.

Each time you buy an imported lettuce remember That's taken 7 Litres of water to grow (+ probably 2 Litres of Crude by the time it's been fertalised, grown and transported) let alone the number of British workers Jobs Exported to that same country you exported the drought to.

and Vegetables take less water per weight than your flesh does but at least the dead animal tends to be grown closer to home.

We have to start thinking people, rumour has it that 1/2 the worlds population is overweight,(many morbidly obese) the other 1/2 can't afford to eat a healthy diet, Gotta love capitalism hu?

Hey, lets go bomb more 3rd world countires, Just to ensure they have the benefits of Industry we have all had for years *Cough, *itch, *scratch, Lets also hide all the trees with billboards so that no-one can see when they are gone, pollute the waterways with fertiliser (and other chemicals) Hell let's give them a free healthcare system too so you can die on the 6 month waiting list to get on the next waiting list to see someone who might be able to sort you out.

Let's Stop importing Immigrants, in all reality why do we need more workers in this country? we import them to do the work here, then we export the jobs back to where they came from because we can't afford to pay them, Gotta love Capitalism hu?
