ABOUT SCM - Stays near the top

Your Steam groups, comments and friends on autopilot, at a human pace. Everything a busy Steam profile needs, in one small window on your own computer.

SCM - Stays near the top
A free app for the members of this group that looks after your Steam profile and groups on its own, at a human pace. The comments you get come from real Steam users, the app never fakes a comment or an account. You set it up once, and it keeps going in the background while you play, work or sleep.
  • Keeps your comment near the top of up to 10 groups
  • Several texts that take turns
  • Your own text for each group
  • Follows each group's rules
  • Quiet hours for group posts
  • Comments back on your profile, friends first
  • Accepts friend requests
  • Greets new friends in chat
  • Reminds friends to comment again
  • Invites friends to your Steam group
  • Removes spam comments from your wall (optional)
  • Shows who is waiting for a comment back
  • Daily profile stats and history
  • Desktop notifications for new comments

Free for our members. Join this group and our Discord, connect your Discord to your Steam account, and every feature is yours. Windows and Mac.

Updates are posted here first. Questions? Ask in the comments or on Discord.

P.S. No fake accounts or bot farms: it runs on your own real profile and every message is written by you, the app just sends it at the right time, so you don't have to sit at your PC all day.

Not affiliated with Valve or Steam.

Free membership — the app is for our community
The app is for our community
Steam Community Manager stays free — every feature, with every update. From the first version on 1 November 2026, 23:00 CET, it works for the members of our community:

  • Join this Steam group — if you're reading this, you're almost there
  • Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/FygsKdEQKF
  • Add Steam to your Discord — in Discord: User Settings → Connections, the same account you use in the app

On the first start the app shows a short checklist with these steps and walks you through it — when every step has a tick, it starts by itself.

Why?
This is where updates come first, where you get help and where you find people to swap comments with. And it keeps the app with real people, not bot farms.

What do you keep?
Only your Discord ID and name, next to your SteamID64, and whether you're on our Discord server. Nothing else — details in our privacy policy[steamcommunitymanager.com].

Leave the group or the Discord server and the app pauses until you're back.

What's new in v3.9.69
What's new in v3.9.69
25 October 2026

New
  • Wall filter: Settings → Wall filter deletes new comments on your wall that have a link, two or more smileys, or text art made of special characters — each kind on its own switch. Comments already on your wall stay. Steam can't edit someone's comment, so the whole comment goes.

Better
  • Comments back sooner: the app now waits only while your last comment is among the newest five on their profile — from the sixth down it comments back within minutes, and it looks at everyone waiting every few minutes.
  • Reminders, your way: the same friend gets a reminder at most every two days — change it in Settings → Reminders (from every day to every 7 days). None go out during your quiet hours.
  • The waiting list counts people, not comments, and the Rep-back card shows today's comments back next to the total.
  • Group invites: the card shows how many were declined, next to sent and accepted.
  • The status dots at the top (auto-post, rep-back, auto-friends, logged in) are green when they're on.
  • On Windows the app uses Chrome when it's installed (Edge otherwise).
  • Tooltips in the website's look, and the footer links and Log out light up on hover.
  • On a Mac: the app's browser now stays out of sight — no more icon flashing in the Dock on every check (log in to Steam once in its window) — and the Dock shows Steam Community Manager with its own icon.

Fixed
  • Smoother background: no bands in the window's soft light, and no flat patches around the footer links.
  • Group invites: the ones still waiting for an answer stay counted as sent (the number used to drop).
  • Logged in box: its dot and text sit in its middle.
  • Statistics history: hovering the chart no longer stops it.
  • Links on a Mac: they open even when no browser is running yet.
  • Shorter errors: errors from Steam's pages show in Activity as one short line.
