There is a mod for this game. If you do not find a mod you want, make one. I did before in the past for games.

I think one of the reasons the game is so tough to make mods for (besides custom assets, which are actually pretty easy with something like UABE) is because, under the hood, KDR emulates the original PS2 game's code (there's literally a DLL called PS2KatamariSimulation). I'm sure if people had enough time and dedication, it could happen, but considering OUAK and WLKR are easier to patch, I doubt it will.
