The third floor has been locked for a while, and every time you ask Biggie about it, he suddenly remembers something very important he has to do somewhere else. Well, the October Update is here, and the doors are finally open.

Fair warning: it’s a disaster up there. Someone who used to keep this place running has gone missing, and if you want the third floor back, you’ll have to head into the Deep Layers and find out why. Biggie is acting extremely normal about the whole thing.

Fix things up to unlock the Outpost’s newest hangout. Pull a slot lever, take your shot at Whack a Jack and Wheel of Fortune, or grind your treasures into coins. Then hit the bar for seven new drinks that’ll make you faster, set you on fire, or send you floating. You can also throw them at your friends. The Corrupted will be the ones terrified of YOU with this new ammunition in your pockets.

As the floor levels up, wandering visitors start dropping in, and a few might follow you into the Deep Layers for the right price. On top of the new questline, we've also added 51 Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud Saving support!

It’s spooky season, and the Deep Layers got the memo. Brand new Halloween masks are now hiding down there, waiting for brave (or very nosy) Scrappies to find them. Track them down, suit up at the wardrobe Mannequin, and show off your new face in the Outpost or on your next dive. Nothing says “I’m here to help” like a fully masked Scrappie sprinting at you with a mallet. Below are only a few options. Share your pics of your Scrappie's Halloween costumes in our Discord[discord.gg]!

We’re part of Steam Scream V, and GRAIN ROT is 20% off through November 2 at 10 AM PT. If you’ve got a friend who keeps saying they’ll “get it eventually,” this is eventually. Drag them to the Outpost and unlock the new floor together!

We’re celebrating the update with two exclusive Twitch Drops, and all you have to do is watch.

Watch any member of the Rot Squad, our official GRAIN ROT creators, for 3 hours to unlock the golden sunglasses. Want to join the Rot Squad? Apply in #applications: https://discord.gg/grainrot

Watch any GRAIN ROT stream for 3 hours to unlock the beer helmet. Your favorite creator, a wandering Spark who just found the mallet, a Scrappie who’s been building the same tower since August. If it’s GRAIN ROT, it counts.

The colorways on both cosmetics are exclusive to Twitch Drops and are only available until November 2 at 10 AM PT. After that, they’re gone. Don’t be the Scrappie chillin' in the Scorch without sunglasses.

Last month we asked you to dream up the constructs you’d want to see in the Outpost, and you did not hold back. After a lot of very serious deliberation (and some yelling), here are your winners.

@Ria: The EaterWe will be keeping a very close eye on this one.

@Mr.Lee: ChandelierFancy enough to make even the Outpost look classy. Art by @TheEpicorn.

@LuckyNumberTen10: Fish Tank and Wind ChimeFor the cozy builders among us.

@TheEpicorn: Cat Statue, Wall Clock, and Grandfather ClockBecause apparently time and cats are both very important to the Scrappie lifestyle.

@Step: Rocking ChairPerfect for sitting very still and listening to the Deep Layers creak.

These concepts have earned the chance to be brought to life in GRAIN ROT as part of a future Community Construct Pack. Keep your eyes peeled.

A huge shoutout to everyone who submitted. Every concept helps make this community special, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your ideas with us.

See you on the third floor, Scrappies. First round’s on Biggie. (Don’t tell him we said that.)
