A stylish and moody game that is very impressive for a one man project. The story is interesting, the art and the models are great, and there is a decent variety of gameplay on offer.

The environments all look great and have the post-soviet architecture look to it that is going to endear someone who grew up with it. Seeing as the developer is russian, the game's localization seems to include a bunch of russianisms (awkwardly translated russian phrases, terms or ways of saying things) that feel kinda amateur, especially considering that there was supposedly a localizing team assigned to this game. But hey, if you're not familiar, you'll probably not notice them and will just think the wording is awkward sometimes.

I didn't enjoy a couple things- even on normal difficulty the game is pretty difficult and the combat makes you feel like a weak teenage girl (yes I know this was likely the point) - you keep running around in circles instead of fighting, and way too many combat encounters rely on swarming you with tons of enemies, who sometimes respawn infinitely. And the ammo system was not enjoyable and I had to rely on cheesing the system to get by sometimes (it will mark one enemy when you run out of primary and secondary ammo and you have to hit them to replenish pistol ammo). Just felt like something that could have been presented better, since shooting feels nice, but scrounging for ammo in the middle of combat doesn't. There were a couple of enemy variants that I didn't really discover a comfortable counter-play to besides "overwhelm them with ammo before they have a chance to do anything", and when I couldn't do that I would be resigned to getting hit or even restarting from a checkpoint.

Overall, a cool experience and definitely worth a look, as it's not the type of game you will encounter often.

Oh and it's a pop shove-it, not an ollie.

One of the best games I've played in a while.
art is 10/10
music 10/10
storytelling 10/10
gameplay 9/10
My only complaint is that there isn't more of this game.

Liked the game so much i decided to 100% it. its a short play around 7 hours. but then again i played on hard an died a bit, so might be a lil shorter. but the story was great and the bosses were fun to figure out. some of the mechanics were cool as well
