@Devs here's why SoT is dead on PC
Game Size on PC: 118 GB

If Windows 11 is 64 GB, and all the other necessary apps could add a few gigs too. Then you're asking the average Windows 11 user to give your game approximately 12% of their disk space for an MMO. The game is amazing and great, but I can't be begging my friends to delete other games to install yours every time I wanna play, and I don't play solo, so no friends playing = I don't play too.

On Xbox One and Series S the game is much lighter.

I've done some quick research for you.

Global Average: As of recent years, the average hard drive size for consumer PCs has been increasing. Many new PCs come with hard drives ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB. A rough estimate for the global average might be around 500 GB to 1 TB per user, considering both traditional hard drives and solid-state drives (SSDs).

National Averages: In more developed countries, users tend to have larger storage capacities. For example, in the United States, the average disk size might be closer to 1 TB or more, especially with the increasing adoption of SSDs. In contrast, in developing countries, the average might be lower, potentially around 250 GB to 500 GB.

Prompt: is there an estimate to global or even national average disk size per PC user?

constructive criticism isn't rant
Just tell your friends to get an extra disk.

Sure, and I'll also tell my homeless friend to get a home, ez fix.
Or make friends that actually has the game installed, and also has a home.
I agree to the OP.

A homie doesn’t dip on their friends because they don’t have storage space— the home part is an analogy dummy lmao

That's quite the stretch man.(Disk space-homelessness analogy) a 2 TB SSD is like $150. If you can't afford that, idk what to tell you. You can afford a $1200+ PC but not an extra $150 for a larger SSD?

If I had enough money to live a good reality I wouldn't be escaping it through video games.
It's actually not dead but ok lmao

If someone can't even afford a disk, their priority should be finding a proper job to escape their current bad situation and not complaining to escape reality.

Usually complaining too much in forums just creates dumb mental barriers limiting the ability to improve.

I see you're in game right now, im glad that you finally found friends with a respectable disk size.
I came looking for copper, but i found a chat gpt presentation :GHVomit:
oh boyyy... in terms of disk space which SoT is taking - You are talking about Windows, and that is surely a fat piece of OS for your hard drive but here I am playing this game on Linux which is taking much much less space than Windows, and yet I still feel the pain when SoT takes a big chunk of my disk space. This is a problem not gonna lie.

Nah that's not real reason why sot is dead.
Game cost is 40$ same as 500GB ssd, if you can afford the game then you can afford the more disk space :sothappy:

What if I got the game as a gift? But since you already bought the game, that means you can afford giving me $40 to buy an SSD.
