1.] If you wanna be friends, I'm down with that. Just try to have at least a couple of things in common with me so I don't add you then for get about you. My profile has all of my interests listed. It won't kill you to look at them!

2.] I tend to bitch a lot...my friends tend to bitch a lot. In short, I have enough drama in my journal to deal with without yours added to the mix. I don't mind the occasional rant or venting because, hey, I'm a good friend. But, if all you do is bitch, rant, and complain...just don't even add me, please.

3.] I write fanfiction, I know this and you probably know this too. But, this is not the place where I post it. If you want fanfiction:

4.] Don't friend me to bulk up your friends list, please.

5.] I'm open minded. So much so that it scares me sometimes. If you have any problems with homosexuality, religious bashing, political bashing...any sort of bashing...then you'd better not even friend me. :)

6.] Now, after reading all of that, if you're still interested in friending me, go ahead and comment to this post. Then, I'll know to friend you back! :D Otherwise...I might forget...

For those wanting to know more about the recent DDoS attacks, yes, it looks like it was the Russian government trying to shut down the dissidents again.

As I said last time, while it's frustrating not to have access, LJ is a lot more than a social network platform. From the article:

"LiveJournal isn’t just a social network. It’s also a platform for organizing civic action. Dozens of network projects and groups mobilize people to solve specific problems — from defending the rights of political prisoners to saving endangered historic architecture in Moscow."

So while I know many are considering the move over to Dreamwidth and other such sites, supporting LJ is a way we can help support those who use it for more than a writing/roleplaying/social venue.

Also, as a FYI, LJ is giving paid users effected by the outage two weeks of paid time as compensation.

I’ve been wondering what’s up with all the DDoS attacks LJ has been receiving lately. Signal boosting ingridmatthews:

Just in case anyone thinks LJ's downtime is just TPTB being incompetant, read this:

LiveJournal, Russia's blogging platform of choice, is sustaining biggest cyberattack attack in its history. Bloggers say the Kremlin wants to crack down on political discussion.

"LiveJournal, Russia’s most popular blogging platform, has been under a massive DDoS attack for the past few days. The attack has effectively wiped out Russia’s main refuge for unbridled political discussion, a hugely lively and extensive domain frequented by politicians, opposition activists and social commentators alike...

“The reason for attack is more than clear in this case — someone wants LiveJournal to disappear as a platform,” Ilya Dronov, development director at SUP, wrote in a post on his LiveJournal blog earlier this week. He said the hackers were hoping to push bloggers from LJ to social networks where “it's easier to fight individual users.”"

Taylor Lautner x Taylor Swift

Do couples that have already broken up count? *blinks* *shrugs* If not, oh well. xP For some odd reason I was insanely happy when rumors of those two started going around, it directed my attention away from my perilous quest to prove Rob's fucking Taylor L.
