"Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of today." ~Theodore Roosevelt
When I was young I told my dad I wanted to run for president. He told me that someone like me would be assassinated before my first 100 Days in Office. President Garfield was assassinated before his first 100 Days. He often spoke out against the notion of corrupt business and corrupt politicians working together to dominate the world. Theodore Roosevelt Broke away from the Republican party to seek a 3rd term in office under his own party the "Bull Moose" when speaking at a public event In Milwaukee Wisconsin he was shot by a would be assassin, Roosevelt survived and finished his speech. Ronald Reagan fought against the progressive movement and the communist governments of the world, He is one of the last Elected officials to speak plainly of Pride and individualism as superior to collectivism and the "Greater Good" An Assassin attempted to Kill Ronald Reagan.
part of the problem we face as freedom fighters is figuring out who the enemy is and how they work.
The most obvious enemy is totalitarianism fascism and communism. Better Dead than Red its easy to say, but like my Fellow Wisconsonite learned many people tend to feel better alive than worry about principles. Leading a spearhead to identify enemies of freedom is an impossible task because you constantly run the risk of becoming a tyrant yourself. Fighting Joe started as a Hero and ended his life as a pariah slowly drinking himself to death. If you stared into the maw of the beast and found out exactly how deep its roots went you would need a few quarts of liquor too.
While the overt enemies of Freedom ran wild and made it known their objectives through bloody revolution and iron fisted rule the deadlier ones were in our midst. Our allies across the sea in Great Britain held the key to understanding them. Their roots are there, The UK and the USA were the last Great opponents to central planning and statism. In Brittan prior to the growth of the American Progressive movement there was already a cabal of intellectuals who followed an Idea called the Fabian Society. The Goals of our Progressive movement were originally simple, slow progress towards increased civil liberties but shortly after forming their good intentions got the best of them and they saw the inequities of society as a social injustice to be fought with government rule. In Europe the Fabian society was pushing for the same goals, although morally opposed by Lenin because they didn't support the class struggle against the Bourgeois and rather advocated a single entity society a collective between the Bourgeois and the proletariat, the Fabain society criticized the Communists for being rash and moving too fast. They felt that bloody revolution and forcing people to accept the state was the wrong method, they advocated slow infusion of state powers and control of industry.
Read up on the Fabian society, there is the blueprint for the enemy's moves, how they planned to infiltrate the media and educational system to train the people to embrace the change to socialism over the course of decades. These are the true enemies behind the curtain. They cared more about their arrogant goals than immediate results. The still lived in lives of luxury as co-conspirators in one of the biggest cons of history. Convincing us they didn't exist while they slowly insinuated themselves into every aspect of our lives. The Fabian society model was adopted by the American progressive Movement and only for a Brief time in the early 1980's When the US, UK and Canada all elected officials who fought against the slow progress of socialism did they face potential destruction. Their grip was too strong and they fooled everyone way too well and after Mulroney, Reagan and Thatcher left office they slowly came out of the shadows to regain what few controls they lost.
"The goal of the Fabian Society is to establish the same godless, socialistic one-world society envisioned by Marx." ~George Bernard Shaw
