For a few years now, I have been a fan of the Brobdingnagian Bards, a celtic music group. One of the bards, Marc Gunn, recently produced a CD of Irish Drinking Songs...For Cat Lovers. Kind of a wacky idea, but cute.
Anyhow, on his MySpace page right now, you can listen to his song "The Mining Ship Red Dwarf." It's a song from the album I mentioned above, with lyrics about the Cat.
I got the email about the super-exciting new Red Dwarf Beat the Geek game DVD and Duane Dibbley bobble-head doll, and about exploded with excitement...

Has a small scene in this movie . He is cool ,as always ,and the movie is just hysterical ! There is a scene with a farm thresher that is just priceless !!
Is one of my all time favorite series. It saddens me this movie was never made . and its not like i watch it daily. I havent watched it, in probably years .
But my mom passed away last month . I have been very depressed ,and i found myself watching the Red Dwarf series from the beginning.. It definately alleviates the pain.
It really does.I still laugh at all the funny bits ,and the jokes are so old ,but still so pertinent and timeless. Its a true classic .
Well ,with the new found celebrity of Hugh Laurie in the USA because of HOUSE, i decided i wanted to watch the old Black Adder series with him as the moronic George, the Prince Regent. so Black Adder III is what i am watching .
He was so young there,and i have not watched them in so long . so i am through the first 3 episodes so far ...
And I never realized .... Well Robbie Coltrain is in Inc and Incompatability . and he is now beloved by millions of kids world over as Hagrid in the Harry Potter movie series . And i know he did alot of UK comedy back in the day ,but i surely didnt remember him in Black Adder .
And in Nob and Nobility ... There ya go.. A very VERY young Chris Barrie ...wearing very VERY tight trousers ,playing a rouge French Revolutionary with bad hair.. It was great !
I cannot wait to see who shows up in the other 3 episodes of Series 3. and then i will watch the other BA series as well.. An oldie but a goodie !

I've been a member for a while, but I haven't posted anything yet. I've been a fan of the Dwarf for over a decade, I was holding out for the DVDs to be released as a box set, some silly person told me it would never happen, but here I am with the box set of seasons 1 through 4 in my hand.
I think Rimmer is a complete and total git, which makes him my favourite character.
I hope to make some new friends here, in the meantime, I came across this meme, I thought you guys would like it.

Unlike most rabid fangirls of my age (14, if you must know) I am not going to run around in circles, squealing like a pig and yelling "ONGZ0RZ RIMMER IZ HAWT!!!111". If I ever do so, it is out of spite of those who do do that. XD
I have been watching Red Dwarf ever since I was.. well.. born. o_o; Sounds impossible, but it's true. My favourite episode of Red Dwarf has to be Terrorform, because I just love the bit where Kryten's in all that wreckage. A close second is Out Of Time, as I find the end bit positively delightful. x)
well, after the commenting frenzy that is the post in red_dwarf on favorites *after* Rimmer (ah, the unspoken truth)- there was mention of starting a comm. just for Rimmer love. Is this a good idea, a bit pointless, or bloody fantastic? It would be about Rimmsy of course, but other Barrieness would be encouraged. I can't seem to find a comm. devoted soley to Mr Barrie, despite there being thousands of rabid fangirls. So should we do it? What should we call it?
oh yeah, and I was gonna say, who doesn't stop giggling when Lister suggests in the first episode (after Arnie's written cheats all over himself) that Rimmer hand in his body and let them mark that? ^-^ Everytime I watch it I jump off the couch and yell "ten outta ten!!!"
Heehee my sister and i just ran into a whole quoting-fest there. She was sitting watchin tv and the guide came up without her pressing anything and i went "How did you do that?" and she said "How did i do what?!" and so i had to say "Lisa stop being a gimboid" and she said ever so seriously "I'm not BEING a gimboid!" hahaha, then she figured out what was going on.... ah funnyness. :D
hello darlin's I've been havin' a blast making icons- I'm not that good, but practice makes perfik... anyway, I'm wanting to make some serious ones of the crew, especially Rimmer because I know all you ladies feel sorry for the little blighter and want to show your heart-burstings.
