It would be really great if we could host a final Skins BB, it would probably have to be the last, but due to recent revival, I wonder if anyone is interested in a final bang?

I'm very sorry to announce that miss_peg and I have decided to pull the plug on this specific Big Bang, simply due to a sheer lack of interest. We simply cannot justify to run a Big Bang with only 3 authors signed up.

A huge thank you to those of you who did sign up. We're awfully sorry to let you down in this way.

However, that's not to say this is the end of skins_bigbang. We'll give it one more shot in January - when series 7 is on.

There's just one question left: would you prefer the next attempt to be a regular Big Bang, a reverse Big Bang or another variation? (Please reply with preference and/or suggestions.)

Thanks.

We recognise that the Skins fandom isn't as strong as it used to be, it's understandable, things change and people move on.

However, with the low number of people signing up to this year's BB we're at a point where continuing may not be viable. We have just 3 people planning on writing which means that if 1 person happened to drop out (as sometimes people do) we'd be left with 2 fics. That's just not plausible to run a Big Bang on. 3 isn't enough either.

So, this is a plea...by August 17th we would like at least 5 more author sign ups. If we don't get this, then we're going to have to cancel this year's Big Bang. It's not something we want to do. Big Bangs are the highlight of our year, they produce such high quality work. But if it's not possible, it's not possible.

Does anyone have any ideas how we can either make this year's Bang more viable or at least change it in order to encourage more participation?

Thanks

Here are so promo banners which are free to use to promote the Big Bang!
