I just played Rez for the first time, and I don't think it's possible to explain how amazing it is without swearing a lot. I can tell right off of the bat that it's not for everybody, but I knew going in that I'm not everybody. Its Panzer Dragoon heritage is definitely noticeable in the best possible ways (well, best possible ways short of a new Panzer Dragoon game, but that's coming soon too) and the synaesthesia angle really works. Whenever designers start to talk about "creating new experiences" and things like that, I get very skeptical very quickly, but Rez definitely manages to pull off just that. I would certainly advise those who haven't played it to rent it before they buy it, but WOW, I'm glad I bought it.
