At long last, a refuge for us overworked, underpaid, misunderstood, abused retail employees! This is the place to be if you want to vent or commiserate. Of course, any and all customer stories are welcome here. But don't forget all the other frustrating aspects of working in retail: annoying coworkers, ridiculous bosses, arbitrary company policies, bizarre working conditions, etc.
You don't have to work in a retail store to post here. Anyone who has similar experiences--e.g., restaurant, hotel, etc.--basically anything that deals with the public can relate to each other. You can also watch the community if you're amused by the stories of friends who work in retail, or if you're just curious what it's like to have a retail job.
It takes a special breed of human to work in retail--so post here, we've been there!
