As promised, here are the recast_bb cheerleader sign-ups! This set of sign-ups is for those of you wishing to be paired with authors - a separate set of sign-ups will open later for artists' cheerleaders. Don't worry, no one will be left out; everyone deserves some cheering on! :)

If you're interested in cheering on one of our amazing writers, please comment below using the following form. For more information on what cheerleading entails, please check this post - don't worry, it's nothing scary! Basically, it all boils down to being friends with the person taking part, and helping them through the good and bad times of a big bang :D

Don't worry, there are no right or wrong answers to the questions, and no pressure to answer one way or another. This is just so we can do our best to match up good cheering-writing pairs! Anyone can cheerlead in the bang, even if you're taking part in some other way (e.g. as an author/artist), and you can sign up to cheer on as many people as you like (and even more when artist cheerleading sign-ups open!).

Remember, if you're an author who doesn't want a cheerleader, or who needs a cheerleader ASAP, please comment on this post. Otherwise, every author and artist who signs up to the bang will be assigned a cheerleader!

Hi, everybody! It's been great meeting some of you over at the Meet & Greet post - if you haven't dropped by already, come say hello! 

I've been looking at the responses to the poll I put up a few days ago (which you can still respond to now if you missed it before!) and I thought I should give you an update on what the plan is for that side of things. Firstly, due to time constraints and a division of duties, it will be me that's running the whole cheerleading business around the comm, so any questions or concerns you don't want to leave in a comment somewhere on the comm, do drop me a note! You can either PM me (emisolde) or you can drop us an email over at our joint mod email account: recast.your.mods@gmail.com

A quick low-down: cheerleading is simply the act of encouraging someone to keep going with their story/art/whatever, and go on being amazing! Everyone hits stumbling blocks occasionally, or needs to let off steam when things just won't go right - or maybe you just want people to celebrate with you when you've moved past all that and it's going brilliantly! 

Before I say anything more, please comment on this post if:
- you're an author or an artist who knows that they do not want a cheerleader assigned to them. 
- you're an author who is (going to be) writing a lot of their bang now or in the near future, and would like a cheerleader assigned to you ASAP.

With an amazing number of people signed up already and hopefully many more to come, it seemed like the right time to open up an introduction post.

Drop by and tell us a bit about yourself! Are you an author or an artist? Do you know what fandom-sandboxes you want to play in, or are you still deciding? Got a story already outlined or still muddling around in the dark trying to catch one of those pesky plotbunnies? Or maybe you're being swamped by the irritatingly adorable fuzzballs and can't decide which one to take home and feed and snuggle with on the couch? Maybe you're just lurking around waiting to read the fics when it comes to the posting date, and to admire all the fabulous art - that's great too! A big bang wouldn't be so much fun without you guys at the other end to appreciate all the work people put in :) 

However you're taking part in the bang, whatever fandoms you like best, come settle in and put your feet up. I'll bring the tea and cookies, don't you worry!

Whether you're an author or an artist or just think this is a really neat thing, grab a banner and post it to your journal, to your blog, to any relevant communities, and wherever else you can think of! - Art can be banner/header, fanmix, fan video, icon, wallpaper, or any other form as long as it connected to the chosen fic. You must create at least one piece for your claimed story. Art may be explicit, however we do recommend that you okay that with your author first. Mixes must be at least 5 songs (with covers), icons at least 10.

- Claims will open February 21st.

- A final draft of your art will be due by April 1st.

- Posting will begin by assignment April 3th.
