Queer Hollywood - the celluloid closet.
This community is meant to be a place to discuss the queer history of the movie industry - the people in front of and behind the scenes who made and shaped the movie industry, from the dawn of celluloid until today. This can be in the form of discussing subtext of movies themselves, discussing various queer men and women who acted, produced, directed, wrote, or otherwise contributed to the making of movies, the New Queer Cinema movement, talking about biographies and other books about queer-related cinema, posting pictures, and whatever else we can come up with.
Posting is open to all members. Please put long posts (over 250 words) and any pictures and video clips behind an lj-cut. Please tag your posts with relevant names so that members may easily find discussion. Any problems may be directed to the community moderator.
This should go without saying, but while homophobia and "the closet" will be topics of discussion here, no gay bashing or homophobia directed towards any member will be tolerated.
