hokay, so... a friend and i are heading up to East Hampton in a little more than a week and staying for two to three weeks. i'm trying to do this as independently from my parents as possible to avoid the impending grey hairs this will undoubtedly give me. i am trying to find all of the details myself and leave the signatures and funding up to them. ideally, that's how it should go. so in order for that to happen (and smoothly, i may add) i need a little help. where in Wainscott can two girls (both just barely hanging on to 17) find a place (house, b&b, cottage, whatever) very close to the beach to stay? i'll have my car so getting to South Hampton to shop is noo problem. it's just the beach we both agreed that needs to be clooose. somewhere near the Georgica Association would be best (been there and my best friend has a place in there so it would make picking her up mucho convenient). we want to go up on either Friday the 12th or Saturday the 13th. in our opinion, we would want to go from then until Sept 2 or some time from August 26 on. my parents won't be coming with, most likely, because my dad's doing a big lawsuit and can't leave that and vacationing with just my mom is not an option. (PS i'm an only child so there are no brothers or sisters to lessen the insanity that is my mother.) there is pretty much no budget and the expectation going into this whole thing would be about $5k/week. so that's what we're working with. any input would be appreciated. x-posted. xo |

Hey girls, maybe someone could help with this.. I bought the pink and green seersucker Nautica comforter for my dorm next year but my roommate and I wanted to get some sort of poster or artwork to go on the gross cinderblock walls that would go with the pink and green but not look too summer-y. We love the vintage Vogue posters but the black and reds would clash for certain. Does anyone have any suggestion where we could get something or an idea we could create on our own? thank you much, Danielle xx |

Hey ladies! How's it going? Good I hope. School is almost out here, so everything is definately great with me! Well, I have an opinion question to ask. What do you think of strands of pearls that go down to almost below the waist and are knotted somewhere in the middle? I've seen them in magazines and on tv a lot lately (the only place I can really remember is on Making the Band 3...Aubrey wore them allll the time) but I'm still not sure if I like it or not.
