Power of Three : a Charmed RPG community.

This is a role-playing community based upon the television series Charmed.


Premise:

The setting for this game takes place right after the episode ‘Little Monsters’. Leo has already become an elder, leaving his relationship with Piper in despair. Phoebe has just blurted out her feelings to Jason, while Paige (who has already started working for the temp agency) is beginning her relationship with Richard. Chris has already become the sisters’ whitelighter, and Leo still does not trust him. Bianca hasn’t come back from the future yet, but will be making her appearance as soon as the storyline gets rolling. The plot can develop in any way that the players decide. No storyline is set in place, except that which has happened prior to the start of the game (For instance, Prue has died).

Please read through the rules before attempting to contact us about joining. After reading through everything, if you decide that you still want to participate, then please send an e-mail to Brian and Christina with your character information and (if at all possible) the LiveJournal username that you will be posting from. Journals are not required for specific characters until after a player had been accepted into the game. A link to a sample of your writing would also be nice. We will try our best to keep the cast list as up-to-date as possible. As this game will technically be taking place during the events of the television series Charmed, most of the characters involved will be canon characters. Original characters will still be accepted, as long as they are worked into the story somehow, and are approved by both moderators.


Rules & Regulations:

I. We hope that this will be a high-volume game. Of course, there will be various points in time where things tend to stall for a bit. If people fail to post regularly it makes the occasional slow-down that much harder to avoid. So long as every player keeps up with their posting (at least once a week), the game shouldn't drag too much. If you'd like to post more than what is expected then by all means, go right ahead (we would appreciate it, in fact). In addition, if ever you are unable to post for an extended period of time, you should always let one of you mods know (in advance, if possible), because failing to meet this guideline is probably the easiest way to be removed from the community, and we will not give warning before removing you from the community. (Of course, exceptions will be made in special circumstances).

II. All members are expected to utilize the out of character community, charmed_rpg. Any questions, comments, or concerns can be expressed among the other players there. It is highly recommended that all players post any big plot ideas and/or suggestions that they have to the out of character community before implementing them into the game. This way, if something needs tweaking, everyone can be involved in the decision making process.

III. It would be nice if everyone participating could create a separate account for their character(s) if they don't already have one, though it is not required. You are, however, required to use a character icon (reflecting your character) so that the other players involved can more easily distinguish your posts from the masses of others.

IV. Be respectful to the other members of this community. We won't tolerate pettiness over some game. That's right, it's a game. We're all here to have fun. Please do not harm another character without the expressed consent of the player.

V. When posting, try to write more than three sentences. We expect everyone involved with this game to be a decent writer. You don't have to be a novelist, or even an outstanding writer (Lord knows we’re not), but you should be able to manage a couple of paragraphs per post at least. We don't think that it is too much to ask of you all.

VI. In addition to asking for a couple paragraphs a post, we are also requiring all posts to be in third person. We feel that by doing so, there will be more attention to details.

VII. If you decide that this game just isn't for you, then please let one of the moderators know rather than vanishing off the face of the Earth. By letting us know that you want to quit the RPG ahead of time, we are able to find a replacement much sooner, which keeps everything running a lot more smoothly.

VIII. Any questions, comments, or concerns that you might have about the game can be directed toward either one of your friendly neighborhood moderators: Christina (lollobrigida), or Brian (hawkseye). We will do our best to help out with whatever it is that you need.

IX. One last thing, you must be 17 or older to join, due to the possibility of adult content.
