I'm trying to plan the layout of my extended essay, for IB year 12. The topic is To what extent was Clement Atlee responsible for the Partition of India?

Obviously, there were many factors that contributed to the Partition of India, so what I want to know is how much of my essay should I spend discussing the other factors that contributed? The essay has to be 4000 words long. I asked my supervisor this question and she said I should spend about half on Atlee and half on all the other things and their effects, but I'm not convinced because 4000 words isn't that much and it will take a long time to describe them all. Should I just spend the majority of the essay on Atlee and take the final few paragraphs to quickly summarise the other factors? The trouble with that is that with such a small amount of space dedicated to speaking about them, it seems that it might be difficult to prove the extent to which they were important, and thus the extent to which Atlee was important.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey everyone,

This paper is for a college English class. It's about the books Maus by Art Spiegelman, though I'd appreciate feedback regardless of whether you've read the books. This is the second draft of the paper, and I'm not so much worried about the technical side of it at this point. Mostly I'm just looking for feedback on content - does it make sense, flow nicely, what needs more explaining, etc. It's about 2.5 pages, so it's not terribly long. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is anyone available for a quick read through of a twenty-something-page history thesis paper? I can't stand to look at it again after having to WRITE the thing, so I really just need someone to give it a quick readthrough for silly grammatical errors.

Oh, yes, the 411: The paper is for a college history thesis class. I am writing about the court of Louis XIV and how he uses the theater to his advantage. Or something to that effect. You don't have to know history to read it, just grammar. :D

I just wrote an essay comparing the figures of the prostitute and criminal in Crime and Punishment and Oliver Twist for my college English class. I'm supposed to explore the social and the symbolic meanings of the images of the murderer and the prostitute and examine what role the characters' interaction with each other play in the novel. It's a big topic, and I'm afraid I've rambled, so I'd just like to know if this essay makes sense to anybody. And I desperately need a grammar check, since my professor has told me that I'm prone to awkward wording, so please for the love of good grammar point out anything that catches your eye. Nitpickiness = wonderful.
