| Konan grew up with her mother, in a lower middle class family. Despite some financial strain, she grew up well, she was never deprived of anything and grew up just as any other child did. Her mother was 17 years old when Konan was born, and so Konan's real father (also a teenager at the time) skirted the responsibility and left Konan with her mother. For the first 6 years of her life she lived with her grandparents while her mother went to the community college and got a job, eventually taking Konan from her parent's custody when she had secured an apartment (albeit a rather shabby one), and there Konan lived for the subsequent years of her life. Konan's mother, having not really raised her daughter for the most part sees her as a peer, and tries to treat her a such, which Konan resents. Despite her attention getting appearance (bright blue hair, shaved eyebrows and facial piercing), Konan is very subdued person, preferring to be left alone in most situations (she can be overtly unpleasant if provoked, but generally says very little in conversation, refusing to make small talk and only talking when she feels she has something important to add) and reading. She has a great fondness for books, from reading them, to tearing the pages out and making paper animals out of them, her room is full of stacks of books. · 24 Years Old - · Blue Hair - No Eye Brows - Laberet Piercing · Lives With Mother - High School Drop Out Konan dropped out of highschool, stating that she wasn't learning what she thought was important for her to learn, she found that she could teach herself what she felt was important, rather than what a board of teachers told her she should know. The truth of the matter was her romantic relationship with her long time friend Pein, who left school to join street gangs and ultimately the Akatsuki, in a deep rooted devotion to him she left school when he did. Pein however left her because of his dedication to the Akatsuki and Konan was left to provide for herself. However, after a few months of reading the books in the library she found that she couldn't simply sustain herself on her mother's meager wages, and so got a job herself, which she immediately regretted. Konan got a job at a failing local fast food joint, not many people come through the place, so on that front, she enjoys being left alone, however she hates the idea of making money for doing nothing. |
