Well I am officially graduated from Conestoga and have moved out of my apartment in Kitchener. Had a little trouble as I think a certain someone didn't want me to leave...or should I say he didn't want my bed to leave as seen below.

( 'Seen Here'Collapse )

And now I have moved into my parents apartment though next time I'll see them is my graduation in early November. They are still on their year long boat trip and current 150 miles away from Chicago where they'll be picking up the cruising permit they forgot to get which caused them to be detained in customs for I believe 4 days.

So for darthmarysue enjoyment here's a pic of something that we both enjoy that I took at Fan Expo.

Well, while it's been awhile since my last post, this post is just going to be short and sweet, why?

I only have 2 more weeks of school left and then I'm done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Graduating with a degree in Architecture: Project and Facility Management.

Haven't sent out any resume's even though I should be, but too scared too, if only my parent's hadn't left on their year long boat trip around the Great Loop maybe I would be less scared.

Oh well can't live on 'If only' for the rest of my life, or rather until I find a full-time job.

Soooooo, see you guys at Fan Expo, for those who are going.

Well my focus on updating live journal has lacked again, but since I recently got back from Polaris what the heck it's time to finally post something.

Friday after leaving class and picking up my bags I headed back to my parent's house in Toronto to pick up some stuff I forgot, (though a couple of them turned up in my cars' trunk, they just fell out of my backpack, who knew). I then headed to the hotel and while waiting for my roommate in both hotel and Kitchener apartment <lj user="darthmarysue"> to get there so we could check in and I could bring up my luggage. While waiting I saw David F. sitting in the lobby area reading and talked to him till she got here.

After check in I met my temporary roomies, Jen and Sarah, talked a bit and then started checking things out just walking around. Ended up finding <lj user="shallowesque"> and hanging out with her the rest of the night unfortunately while the others were celebrating the start of Polaris by drinking, I could not participate due to taking some ibuprofin, though did check out the Klingon Karaoke, it lacked actual Klingon songs but I enjoyed the socializing.

Saturday in the morning I ran into Pan and Becky and walked with them to find P-Chan while waiting for any interesting panels and ended up posing with Sakura's Star Trek uniform when they were asked for a picture, not a very flattering photo of me, but it was fun. Ended up buying a Starfleet phaser based off the new movie after seeing Pan keep shooting Becky with her original series phaser. Later that day while wandering around Becky and I noticed a stand selling artwork that we like, we each bought one, mine was of two ships out on the sea with one shooting the other while the one being shot was on fire, absolutely love it, need to find a cheap frame now for it. I checked out the Claudia Black talk and loved it, who knew when during filming for Stargate SG-1 when she got pregnant with her first child after telling Michael Shanks and was about to tell the director, Shanks decided to blurt it out instead, XD. I had planned to check out the Constellation awards and the masquerade that night but ended up socializing with PBS, Adien, Solartempest and Amanda which was lots of fun. Afterwards I went with P-Chan and Jen to the dance stayed till 2am not as long as the other two but my ankle told me that, that was enough for the day and I listened and went back to the hotel room to sleep.

On Sunday, I bought two Torchwood books since it was a good deal especially since the dealer who was selling them didn't have any hidden tax costs. I also got a free promo movie poster for "9" at the panel they held, though I was late for it due to not noticing that they changed rooms till after it was halfway through, but still from what I say was really enjoyable. To end my day at Polaris I checked out the Michelle Forbes, and the David squared plus sister Hewlett talk which was hilarious especially for the later which had a lot of teasing between each actor.

I was so tired when I got home, it was a good thing I planned to stay the night at my parent's house Sunday, I knew I wouldn't have the energy to drive to Kitchener. Overall I attended less panels than expected at Polaris, didn't attend any Star Trek due to not liking some of the summaries for them as they seemed to be more of the bashing side of things, and skipped Torchwood for fear of hearing opinions of those who have not seen series 3 and me knowing what had happened (don't worry no spoilers from me in this post). Though in this con I did do a lot more socializing and got to know more about others and knew little of or had just met.

Excited for Anime North next week though a little worried that I'm not on the list of staff for stage ninjaing. I'm always like that when something hinders my plans and preparation, I really need to learn how to relax more when these kind of things happen.

Saw Star Trek again yesterday but this time in Imax, and still absolutely loved it, so in love with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto now. I'm trying to find a good poster with the both of them on for my room but no such luck yet.

Now my plan for the rest of the night, shower, type up interview notes, think of survey categories and maybe build a 500 piece puzzle while watching old Star Trek movies for the first time.

Well I took my sweet time again, seems like I'm more on Twitter than here, darn guy I met at my  CFC Gala my dad took me to in February for getting me interested into it.

So was just on my co-op work term, got laid off early (a month) due to lack of 'projects', though the boss didn't want me to start any new one's he had so meh, whatever. Now back to school again on Tuesday, no classes scheduled on Monday's thankfully. Hopefully this semester is better than the last one since I'm a bit more experienced in how the school wants reports written.

I just can't wait till Anime North, though I will be a bit stressed out that weekend due to family stuff. Right now my Friday is currently planned for my dad's retirement party, which used to be Sunday and my sister's engagement party on Sunday, which was planned for Friday but due to not being able to find a restaurant to hold the party it's been moved. So let's just say I'm super happy I have no classes on Monday so I can use the day to catch up on sleep.

Now need to set up tickets for my grad in June, keep forgetting to do that.

Well, though I said I would post something right away after my last post went up it didn’t, school does that to you. Now here is my, to me, long post catching up on things that have happened since...what was it May or June?

First things first I’m officially done at Sheridan College, finished in August but won’t have my formal graduation till the coming June. Took me 3 long years, so many breakdowns, little to no sleep, and microwavable dinners, but I survived. Though compared to my second last semester there the last semester was so much more fun right from the beginning with my studio group. On our first day Phil, Neha, Cynthia and I were sitting beside each other in class surfing the internet listening to the teacher when we were told to get in groups of four. Phil then points to him ‘Portuguese’ (his wife of the ethnicity), Cynthia ‘Greek’, Neha ‘Indian’ (both their ethnicities) and me ‘Japanese’, well for my love of the culture and anime. That was how our group formed, who knew the days working on the project would be filled with pranks with msn, silent contests, monkey in the middle’s, running away from Phil after messing with him, and just plain fun...and ok maybe some actually studio homework, but it was the best studio semester at Sheridan ever. Then it came to an end and we had to goodbye to friends met here who I hoped to stay in contact with, but with me I suck at that. Friends like my studio group, bittez, Kyle, Tyler, Dale, Kim, Dustin, and Sadia just to name a few.

I’m now at Conestoga College, I bridged into it, since I graduated at Sheridan I could bridge into the programs 3rd year out of a 4 year program, Architecture: Project & Facility Management. The beginning was rough that’s for sure as I wasn’t accustomed to their styles of reports and such, went as far as panicking over the possibility of not passing courses, but thankfully I passed all of them. Found some teachers I like, few I wished they had a better course outline and one I’m still on not sure about. Now I’m in my co-op work term, and have a job at an engineering firm, so far I have two projects, one, which is design work to get drawings submitted form permits for a residential renovation and new addition, and the other project management on a commercial building in Niagara Falls. So far my employer wants me to get the renovation one done first since it is a bigger job and I don’t have to wait for quotes to come in like the other one.

*Edit: Almost forgot, moved into a new apartment no more residences for me, no thank you, I now live with[info]darthmarysue which is working out good. Though she is now addicted to Torchwood, not that I blame her, I love me some Jack/Ianto goodness, but spending an entire week reading Torchwood fanfiction, not seeing the light of day and not working on homework had me give her an intervention, ;p.

Some news within the family now, my sister has finished her PHd and moved to San Francisco to do her post-doctorate on althimers (wrong spelling) and to move in with her “boyfriend” Joe who been dating long distance but knew each other in high school for I believe over a year. I plan to visit them in-between the work term and the next semester to see them and site-see. As probably noticed, I “ ” boyfriend, did that due to the fact as of Saturday Joe is now her fiancé. They plan to marry around x-mas 09’ I’m hoping to do a weekend visit next weekend to see her and help her and my mom (who’s there for the week) dress shop for her, like I was going to miss that.

Now off to bed for another day of work and to talk to the employer about the possibility of leaving early next Friday and coming a bit later on the following Monday.

OBAMA, why Yes We Can! Am so happy with the election outcome, and was moved by his speech afterward. Congratulations to Barak Obama on his presidency, congratulations to Joe Biden on his Vice-presidency and a special congratulations to Obama's kid's on finally getting a puppy!

Will try to post again tomorrow on stuff that has happened since the last post, I will need at times a break from my report finishing all-nighter at school tomorrow night.

*Crossing my fingers my group will get it done for the presentation on Thursday*

Well Anime North has come and gone and I only bought one thing there, a manga, the lastest edition of Prince of Tennis. Most was spent on food (mostly good food!) and the hotel. Roomed with Sarah again, and helped her with cutting her wig hair, let's just say I'll never go to hair school, but it worked thankfully.

So picked up my badge on Thursday with the help of Kevin stillvisions pointing to the fact that, that was my badge (as well as caught up with him which was fun), got a staff badge this time, signed up again to work as a stage ninja. On Friday I met my head ninja Holly akuma_neko, she's was great, got to work as well as a ninja with Jen jentaro and Bonnie (who I'm really jealous of right now because she' off to see Japan). So got to work the Friday night skit and Sat. Masquerade plus a little working the masq. table handing out wristbands.

Checked out the Dealer's room for 15 minutes on Saturday plus lunch. beforehand with Jen before heading to set up the Masq. it was great catching up with her and what has been happening with her. Sunday was when I could get a full look at what's there, though disappointedly I couldn't find anything the grasped my attention from either the Dealer's Room or Artist's Alley.

Overall had a great time at Anime North, especially with the ninja-ing keeping me occupied, can't wait to do it again, hopefully for FanExpo. Another missed year and no swimming in the pool, I need to make sure to go next year especially since I'll need a break from Conestoga.

Another good thing was that I found out through Holly that Louise another staff I have met before at Anime North and Polaris is going to Conestoga for the fall, and she's was looking for someone to get a off-campus housing with, which would be great especially after 3 years in residence. So crossing my fingers for that to work out, started checking out places around the school, with the max. of 5km away, really don't want to go any further.

Well gotta go now, off to bed to meet with my studio group to talk about our building plans before...well Studio class.
