7th September 2005http://bloodyhearts.com/ Take the image from this site and plaster it on every telephone/light pole in your city. We did it last weekend, most of them were gone in a few days, but we are going to put up 1000 this weekend instead of 600. Have them wake up the next day to see how many people don't want him around! 12th July 20052nd March 200515th February 2005It includes lots of stuff we probably already know and is a bit 'woohoo Kerry'. It's fun though, and if you die it lets you continue from where you left off, so it's low-stress. Oh, and definitely check out each characters' 'special moves' -- they're hilarious. It doesn't take ages to play; it took me less than an hour (and I had to 'continue' twice because all my characters died). http://www.emogame.com/bushgame.html Current Mood:
4th February 2005Thanks to the folks who keep posting. Between work, school, etc. I've been psycho busy, so I'm sorry it's been quiet here. Someday... That said, here's some excellent news! ( New York legalises same-sex marriageCollapse ) From Newsday Current Mood:
2nd February 2005I saw this today: http://www.livejournal.com/users/phlog/91041.html?mode=reply 27th December 2004"...And we will continue to make it clear to both Syria and Iran that -- as will other nations in our coalition, including our friend, the Italians, that meddling in the internal affairs of Iraq is not in their interest." -- Leave the meddling to us... White House, Dec. 15, 2004 Ros 16th November 2004Just joined today. Thought I'd say hi. Yeah, I'm Canadian, but Dubya's idiocy has a pretty massive impact on our lives up here too, and my own loathing for Cowboy George knows no limits. So yeah. Here's me. 10th September 20049th September 200429th August 2004Check out the website: www.lightupthesky.org 5th August 20041st August 2004
fille_allemande @ : Fool me once...
I just wrote this in my journal. It's my little rant for today with comedic bits. ^__^ A must read for any fellow anti-Bush person. http://www.livejournal.com/users/fille_allemande/2606.html Current Mood: awake
17th July 20041.The US has halved the money they were to send to the Global fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. 2.The bush administration is distorting scientific data, preventing opposing scientists from holding key positions, and telling panels to ignore certain pieces of evidence that they don't like. 3.US delegates at the AIDS conferance was cut down from 236 to just 50 as a "cost saving measure" 4.The plans to ban BSE-infected meat from being fed to cattle in the US have been postphoned, possibly until after the elections. Now, I look at things with an open mind, and obviously it's possible that New scientist is a bit bias because of the opinions of the people who read it (i.e. me) So i was just wondering what people thought about these? At this point i think i should mention that all these articles were on pages 3-5 of the current New scientist (#2456, 17th july 2004) I should also point out that being as how i'm from the uk and not the us, i don't know how your government works, so forgive me if i'm placing blame on him for things that they wouldn't trust him with ;) Current Mood:
19th June 2004Wonder if they've thought to screen the infiltrator of the plan... 11th June 200424th May 2004If G. W. Bush gets reinstated, there will be two bills passed for a draft in June of 2005 for all people between the ages of 18-26, regardless of college involvement (underclassmen will go after the end of their semester, and seniors at the end of their senior year.) Opposition to the draft is likely to be more vicious than that of Vietnam. States like Utah, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and California are much more Bush-supportive than Kerry-supportive, not to mention almost every other state in the union. Looking at Washington, DC, though, the percentage of voters that support Bush is thirteen. Bizarre, huh? I'm not glorifying John Kerry by any means. I don't necessarily consider him suitable for a presidential role. However, it doesn't take much to be suitable for a replacement for G. W. Bush, and if Kerry is in office, at least the future of America won't die in war. There is a difference between being unpatriotic and supporting something nonsensical. 14th April 2004Hello~ This is a crafty project so if your crafty feel free to help, if not perhaps you can help by spreading the word to someone who is----- March for Women's Lives ~~ DC ~~ 4/25/04 For the march, I will be knitting millions of purple and gold (lemon yellow) wrist bands. These are the colors of the march and also the colors that were on the flags in the 'Iron Jawed Angels' HBO original movie on Alice Paul. I have people all over the country joining me for this project, some crocheting and some weaving. How cool will it be to see a crowd of women and men raising their fists clad with a purple and gold feminist wrist bands? -YEAH!! If you want to join me in my efforts, you can follow the pattern in the Stitch 'n Bitch book, just change the colors. or you can email me (airingoutthevulva at hotmail dot com). I can certainly use crafting help to make a million. To get the bands to the march, you can either bring them with you, send them with a friend or email me about shipping. I'm using CHEAP yarn for this project. It is a great way to contribute to the cause if you cannot attend the March. For more info on the March go to www.marchforwomen.org Peace! -Sam Current Mood:
