I'm terrible at writing 'about me' descriptions. Whether it's about myself or putting into words the purpose of this community. So please expect more detailed information to come as this community finds itself.

Please welcome ONTD Editorials as a welcome center to share your own written newsworthy content. As a long standing member of ontd_political, I have often enjoyed spending time reading the informative comments of many users supplementing the articles.

Personally, in light of recent events, I think it's been easy to see how some social media platforms have failed us considerably in our attempts to stay informed and educated. I believe the more we share in all our experiences the better informed we all can be.

The official community rules will evolve in time but for the time being. However, I would like this to be an opportunity for the writers of this community to raise the bar of journalism in the livejournal community as whole.

Please add an LJ-CUT after the introduction paragraph. Include a warning if your post is in a gif or picture heavy style.

Exception: Text only posts that follow the 5 paragraph essay format do not need to have a livejournal cut. And can be submitted whole.

I hope most members will find that agreeable to their reading list.

Please cite all sources that inspired this editorial and any other further reading that inspired you to write your piece.
