my gosh, this last month has been a lil hectic. Hope u all had as fantastic a new year as i did in cologne. to all of u who shared it with me - i love u all.
to the guys who have come into my life - what took u so long? liking the snuggles.
bored of england already. thinking maybe the london move may be postponed after uni for the random wandering across the globe. bringing on the spain and poland trips later this year. totally worth seeing a certain young man's face when he thought i said i was going to germany for A year rather than NEW year (sorry for the confusion :p )
i'm tired. stressed. telling myself my new year's resolution CAN happen (they are to stop smoking and to go to a mx of 2 gigs a week and 2 nights on the piss a week). i feel like the hedonist lifestlye can't go on forever, or that i should stop it from going on forever. hmm... we shall see...
the tsunami over xmas - hope none of u were hurt by it, or lost anyone. had a friend over there, he's ok. relief.
anyhoo happy 2005. love and hugs going out to u all from a very tired and confuddled me xxx

Hey Helen, hey Offbeaters, I don't really have anything to say...unless there's anyone out there with a spare ticket for Modest Mouse on Friday!? It sold out before I got a chance to buy one :(
By the way I'm 67% Aquarian apparently, whatever the fuck that means and I come from the Sun as well which is nice...
Try this questionnaire!

I'm also going to the Colly tonight, despite having a job interview tomorrow morning...it's only over at the city arms so I'm sure I can crawl there by 10. Then tomorrow night I'll be DJing for Underground in The Graduate Club at The University of Warwick - be sure to check it out!

DJ Line up for tonight
Dan Neil Hywel and Sara Clare
Also I found these stories quite interesting, courtesy of NME.com:
INTERPOL have confirmed details of their biggest ever LONDON show.
The group, who this Saturday play at the London Forum (November 20) as part of a UK tour which continues into December, will come back to London in April 2005 for a gig at the London Carling Brixton Academy (April 9).
and
RUFUS WAINWRIGHT has said how he spent three years being "jealous and resentful" of JEFF BUCKLEY but a chance encounter changed his mind and inspired new song ’MEMPHIS SKYLINE’.
’Memphis Skyline’ is one of the songs that features on Wainwright’s forthcoming album ’Want 2’, which is released in the UK next spring.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the singer explained how Buckley inspired the track.
He said: "I was really jealous of him and resentful of his success for a long time when I started out. So I began a couple-year-long hatred of Jeff Buckley.
"Years later, I actually met him in person and we hung out. This was after I had time to make my own record and have my own set of problems. I realised he was just a very, very delicate and sensitive and depressed guy who, if you blew on him, would crumble.
"I had a really lovely night hanging out with him. That night I realised just the futility of jealousy. And, of course, a month later he died. He would have been an amazing guy to sing with."
didn't he play the arts centre a couple of weeks ago? did anyone go and see him?
as a final note, I got this short questionnaire from one of my wonderful friends (which I will fill in later today!), just wondered what people would put for their answers:
Did John Peel influence you personally? If so give details. Do you think John Peel had a large impact on bands and artists from the west Midlands? Give examples if you can. There often seems to be a stigma attached to bands from the Black Country/West Midlands do you think John Peel’s death will mean it’s even more difficult for local artists to get exposure? Who (if anyone) do you think could or should replace his spot on the radio? How do you think the loss of John Peel will affect alternative music? Who in your opinion is the best band he discovered/promoted?
