Japanese Version" and "English Version"

Something I glossed over when I was in the sixth grade
When I was in the sixth grade, I made an excuse for something at school.
And then, the people around me blamed me for glossing over my own words and actions.
I came to think that 'evasion' was a bad thing, and just picturing that word in my head started to make me feel distressed.
Writing is being sincere to yourself
I want to be sincere to others, and in the same way, I want to be sincere to myself.
The reason I 'write' is because even if words seem like they are blaming me, if I write them down and break them apart, a 'solution that can make me my own ally' is waiting there.
That is why I believe that writing is an act of being 'sincere' to myself.
What froze up was what I wanted to gloss over
'To gloss over'
Is that not being 'sincere' to oneself?
There was a time when I froze up while talking to someone I find difficult.
That was because the person I find difficult was asking about my state of mind, but I answered about my progress in my studies.
At that moment, I thought I had 'made a mistake' and wanted to 'disappear from that place.' I wanted to 'gloss over it.' That is why I froze up.
Evasion = Kindness to yourself = Sincerity to yourself
Isn't trying to 'gloss over it' for the sake of the 'me' who wanted to 'disappear from that place' the greatest 'kindness' I could offer myself? The 'gloss over' referred to here is not for deceiving someone, but a 'lie' to protect the 'me' who is about to get hurt.
It may seem that telling yourself a 'lie' by 'glossing over' is not being 'sincere' to yourself, but I think throwing the 'kindness' of a 'lie' to the 'me who wants to disappear from this place' is a 'sincere' thing to do.
Evasion = Being kind to both the other person and yourself
And at the same time, wasn't I wanting to be 'kind' and 'sincere' to the other person? When I froze up, I must have been thinking this in my heart: 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What I just said was a mistake.' I wanted to say that to reduce the burden on that person. Therefore, that attitude manifested as an attitude of 'evasion.'
I believe that 'glossing over' is 'being kind' to both the 'other person' and 'yourself'.
It is not a bad word at all.
To you who felt that being evasive was a bad thing
If there is anyone who, like me in the sixth grade, feels that "being evasive" is a "bad thing," I want to tell them, "That is not the case."
"Trying to be evasive" is the greatest "kindness" you can show yourself, and it is an expression of your attitude of "wanting to be kind and sincere" toward others as well.
"So you don't need to be afraid."
"You are right."
That is what I want to tell you.
