🎃🦇 Vampire’s Feast Became a Tribute— Dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne —🇺🇸

I first encountered Ozzy Osbourne when I was in junior high.
I had just started playing guitar, and I happened to hear Over the Mountain.
It hit like a brick to the head.

It started with drums, followed by tight palm-muted riffs.
The solo was a thrilling combination of Floyd Rose dive bombs and tapping.
For a 13-year-old, it was more than enough to derail an entire life trajectory.

Alongside Van Halen and Jeff Beck, Randy Rhoads × Ozzy Osbourne was divine to me in my teenage years.
Now, Van Halen is gone. Jeff Beck is gone.
And finally, Ozzy Osbourne is gone too.
I made it to see Van Halen and Jeff Beck live, but never got to see Ozzy.

Back in junior high and high school, my band played Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley all the time.
We performed them at live shows, and at school festivals.
There's even a video on Instagram of me playing No More Tears.

    Yes, Jun OKUNO plays guitar.
In an age where people talk about AI and programmed music, I still play the instrument. Normally.

    I remember one thing clearly.

In high school, I went on a first date with a girl who was a fan of my band.
Coincidentally, it was the release day of Bark at the Moon.

We went to a record store together and picked up the album I had pre-ordered.
She took one look at the jacket and was visibly uncomfortable.
But I didn’t care. I just kept talking about Ozzy.

    “This cover is insane, right?”
“Did you know Jake E. Lee is part Japanese—his roots trace back to Osaka?”

As I kept talking, I realized I just wanted to go home and play the record.
So I wrapped up the date early.
We never went on a second one.

Ozzy Osbourne took up most of my time and excess energy during my teenage years. That’s how it was.

    Vampire's Feast Available on 26 Sep, 2025

Vampire’s Feast was originally written for Halloween 2025. The streaming release is already scheduled.
The fact that Ozzy appears on the jacket was just a coincidence.
Something like “Halloween = bats = Ozzy Osbourne.”
    I wasn’t aiming for anything.

But now, I’ve decided to dedicate Vampire’s Feast to him.

    Rest in noise, Ozzy.
