I know - cliche alert, but what the hey. I'm a 17 year old Australian, fantasy/sci fi fan, and I am most definetely a Noldork. I'm fairly new to LiveJournal, and this is the first community I've joined.
I would much love to donate 100 huggles each to my two current favourite elfies - Fingon and Maedhros, and 50 huggles to Fingolfin - just for the hell of it.

This is the best community. Ever. All my hugs for Findekáno, Makalaurë, Maitimo and Ambarto.
On with it though, I guess. A while ago, a friend and I started a Silmarillion verse RPG that went sort of defunct. Now, we're attempting to bring it back--and we want Noldor. And Vanyar. And Sindar. Men. Valar. All sorts of lovely pre-trilogy mishmash.

One telltale sign that you spend way too much time oogling over LJ communities (not to mention certain Eldar *cough*):
I had a dream about the hug drive last night. o.o Yeah. Someone stole (I've no idea how) my password and posted as me in Noldorks....and donated 6000 hugs to Fingolfin. I believe my subconscious is trying to tell me something. *sideglance* >_>
*ahem*
In "honor" of this dream, put me down for 60 hugs to said Noldorin King. I was obligated to remove the last two zeros, for reason preserving reasonable sanity. :D

Hello, it's your friendly moderator orsa in a different guise here to attempt to start some kind of discussion...
I know that Tolkien wrote about the idea that Glorfindel of Rivendell and Glorfindel of Gondolin are one and the same... and I have thus accepted it, but what do you guys think of it? I'm curious.
And in any case... Finrod it seems was also let out (as well as Luthien but that's a different issue involving pity and such) as in "But Finrod walks with Finarfin his father beneath the trees in Eldamar."
So... I was thinking that at least in these two cases there is a trend—two people that made great sacrifices to save important historical figures were let out of the Halls of Waiting.
What do you think of this idea?
