From indiewire:

The eye-opening sub culture of "wannabes" -- able-bodied people who'd rather live their lives paralyzed -- is revealed in writer-director Carlos Brooks' debut feature.

In the film Isaac (Nick Stahl), a wheelchair-using public radio journalist, is assigned to cover the wannabes phenomenon. During his time with them he meets Fiona (Vera Farmiga), who may or may not have played a part in a life-changing incident in his past.

Mr. Stahl's character, Isaac, is a semi-paralyzed radio reporter who is sent out to investigate a story. He meets a vestige of his past and is led "into a very strange subculture and on a journey that ultimately leads him to the disturbing truth about himself," according to the studio description from HDNET Films, the production company making the film......... Upper Freehold's screen debut is likely to be at least a year away. The studio does not have a release date set for "Quid Pro Quo."

"HDNet Unveils Slate of 7 More Digital Features"

Other films on the HDNet Films slate include JT Petty's documentary "S&Man," described as "an in-depth look at the horror movie genre" and Carlos Brooks' "Quid Pro Quo" starring Nick Stahl and Vera Farmiga in a drama described as the story of "a wheelchair-bound NPR personality who begins an intense relationship with a seemingly able-bodied man." It will shoot in New York later this month.

Hey all, I'm new to the group. I liked Nick in Disturbing Behavior and T3, but was blown away by Carnivale. I'm just finishing S1 now... yes, I'm way behind. Anyway, I just found out that Nick was announced as a guest for Collectormania for those who don't know what this is- it's a big convention type event in Milton Keynes, GB with Sci-Fi people signing autographs and such. The dates are Sept 30-02Oct.

Just thought I'd mention it for those in the UK... or those crazy enough like myself who were going from the US. (I was planning on going anyway :D )

And I've also made a few icons at my journal roissy0  the past couple of days. They're all Nick-centric since I didn't want to spoil myself for S2.
