Tonight he left our house for good and I won't lie... this is the happiest I've been in a while! He finally lost.. I won. All I've wanted these last 3 months of silence was to wake up and not have to bare the burden of knowing a sociopath, one apparently only I could identify, was living under our roof.

I dreamed of this day for weeks, months even and I'm so proud of the way I handled it! I told him what was on my mind and called the police when he refused to leave. I'm hopefully that means I'll never have to see him again. If he shows his face within 100 yards of either our house, my sister, or me, I'll just call whoever needs to be called and make sure he's put behind bars where he obviously belongs.

I didn't know this before, but he told my sister that he hurt someone back in Barbados and that's why he was staying so long.. Why didn't she see that as a HUGE red flag???!? He could have been gone weeks ago had she told me or our dad. But that's her... always trying to see the good in people. We're opposites that way. I only see what's there. If there is no good to be found, I accept it and move on.

Today was bittersweet to say the least...

On top of Gran dying, I was charged TWICE for the semenar I atended today, overdrawing my account. I called the bank and they told me to call the seminar people, so I call the seminar people and they tell me they don't see it on their end and that I should call the bank. I told them the bank told me to call them and no one can help me when I'm out $400 for something that should have only been $200!!!! But then I did the actual math and its more than that cuz it was an extra $195, $35 overdraft fee, $6.45 for lunch, AND another $35 overdraft fee on that stupid sweet and sour chicken wrap >_< I should have just sat there and starved... :(

To top it all off, I got all excited because a package I had been waiting on for the past 2 weeks finally came and I though, "Yay! There is still hope!!" No. There never seems to be any hope even when I get tricked into thinking there just might be at least a little. Its the new Adobe CS series and than damn thing refused to load!!!! Its kind of sad that working is my stress relief, but it is and I'm OK with that.. Sitting in front of my computer working on images for my website is just what I need to get my mind off of all the crap that's been happening, but I'm denied even that small pleasure.

My mom and sister took me to the mall to buy me some makeup to make me feel pretty in the hopes of cheering me up and Macy's was sold out of all the foundation that matches my complexion. (the only makeup I really wear on those rear occasions when I want the world to think I give a crap) WTF. They ended up leaving with some for themselves.

I don't know, but it seems I'm being followed by a black whole which its sole porpose is to suck up all the good things that may happen. I mean, some of the good moments slip by, but if I were never able to have ANY at all, then what would be the point in living?

The one positive? I get to see my b/f for the entire weekend! He always finds a way to help me forget that I have horribly bad luck and reminds me that life can also be wonderful ^ U ^

Death is waiting for us all I suppose..

My great grandma died yesterday at 5 minutes to 1 in the afternoon. I know she was old. 95 is an age most people can only dream of reaching. But she was so strong! She volunteered at the community center helping people younger than she was until she was 90... We visited her at her home in January after the holidays. She was still walking, still talking and laughing and all the things she always does. A month and a half later she's gone. Forever.

I keep telling myself she lived a happy and healthy life. It was her time to go. She was old. Why don't any of those rational thoughts ease the pain?

Dear journal,

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I saw more clearly today than I have if the last 2 1/2 years. I know what I need to do AND I know (partially) how to get it done...

My boyfriend is beautiful. Everything about him and our relationship is exactly what I need to stay motivated. He is my rock and I honestly don't know how we got so lucky to find each other when we did.

My debt is HUGE! That's what I get for going to school for 6 years.. at least I finally graduated, even if it took me that long to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. But, I can tackle it in a few years without winning the lottery, one day at a time.

Dan, the sociopath that lives in our basement, has to go. With him gone a huge darkness will be lifted from this house and I can finally feel at home again.

My weight seems manageable for the first time in weeks! If I can stick to a steady diet and excercise routine I can finally get back to where I was before all this crap!!

And there you have it, life can indeed go on :)
