12:21 pm - The Allowed Character List

I've gotten a few questions on the matter, so I thought I'd post some things to clarify exactly what kinds of characters are allowed on here. This will be linked to in the memories and the group info, should you need to reference it again:
Characters will be allowed if they are from:
*Any original piece of fiction prose (ie short story or novel) of any genre (horror, fantasy, drama, comedy, sci-fi, young adult, whatever). This also extends to characters based off of real people, but not real people inserted into fictional worlds.
*Original poetry with recurring characters, as it happens on occasion
*Original scripts for stage or screen
*Original comics, webcomics, or manga
*Original-setting RPGs, including BESM, Dungeons and Dragons, or online and message board RPGs
Characters will also be allowed if they were created for an original world but at some point made an appearance in fanfiction, but ONLY if the fanfiction was not the primary reason for their creation. Check with me for clarification.
Characters will not be allowed if they are:
*Canonical fanfiction characters, meaning no unoriginal characters allowed at all!
*Original characters created for a fandom universe, including AUs
*Original characters based off of pre-created characters: an example would be, I once created some original characters that were the reincarnations of the Suzaku Seishi from Fushigi Yuugi. These would NOT be allowed. Check with me if you are unsure.
*Original characters borrowed from another person. Exceptions to this would be if the characters or story were joint creations, in which case they are still your creation. Characters borrowed from friends who do not wish to join themselves, however, in which you had no part in their creation or the creation of their world will not be allowed to post.
*Non-fictional characters (ie, direct inserts of people you know into a story). Characters based off of known people are allowed (for example, an old woman based off of your aunt) but not real people themselves even in a fictional world (example, Roy Cohn in "Angels in America" would not be allowed).
Hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any questions!

All right! Welcome to Muse Meet, everyone! We've got a few members now, enough for me to justify posting a few things. The biggest one?
The members and their characters list.
I'll link this post back in the info and memories as well, but if you the members could do me the huge logistical favor of posting comments here saying what characters you think you'll be posting with (and you can add more later, of course or subtract inactive ones) and the series they're from so we have an easy way to keep track, I would muchly appreciate it. I'll put my own here as examples:
jupiter_star's Characters: *Cecile Vance, Only True in Fairy Tales *Nietche Lionne, Only True in Fairy Tales *Jason Zefram, How Not to Get the Girl of Your Dreams *Ben Nichols, How Not to Get the Girl of Your Dreams *Emily Denton, How Not to Get the Girl of Your Dreams
Remember that there is a limit of five characters per author right now.
