My father has a funny habit of calling me for answers to trivial questions. Today, for example.

My phone: *rings*

My Father: What is the name of your guy?
Me: My..guy?
My Father: Yeah, you know, "Daddy-No-Mudbloods"?
Me: Lucius Malfoy?
My Father: Yeah! Who is the actor?

I laughed and told him. Apparantly "The Patriot" was on t.v. and he had a mighty need to know who played the Evil Englishman.
Lucius is now and forever "Daddy-No-Mudbloods" to me.

This post will contain rambling. But if you are a weird movie fan, if might be worth it.

I'm an indie gore/horror movie buff, or at least a buff-in-the-making. I'm especially interested in Japanese directors Takashi Miike, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Kinji Fukasaku, Seijun Suzuki and Yasuzo Masumura right now. So I figured I'd put a few movies I've seen lately out, and invite other people to comment/recommend here.

I was watching Japanese television and...and... I actually understood most of what they were saying! It was this IQ test, and I couldn't figure out what what the questions were well enough to answer, but after they gave the answers I was able to understand the question and why the answer made sense! I didn't feel all that bad about not being able to answer anyway, because none of the Japanese people on the game show were able to either. I am so excessively proud of myself. I want a miniature parade.

I had a very good idea today:

Reality t.v. Presidential Elections.

Picture it - All wanna-be Presidential candidates are moved into the White House along with their families and pets and are forced to co-habituate with all the other families. Their children could get into fights, they could argue over who stole who's mayonnaise (They should all be forced to store their food in the same fridge). They shouldn't be allowed to leave the White House grounds and should be forced to live without helpers, servants and speech writers. They are filmed as they go through this and America votes out each candidate until first only one from each party is left, and finally only one family is left in the White House to stay for the four year term.
Can anyone disagree that we would surely get a better look than ever we've had before using this method? And doesn't it just fit this train-wreck of a country like a glove? Clearly I am a genius.
