Hey all, lost a fic that I'm pretty sure was fairly popular. A sorceress tries to kill Arthur in the woods, but Merlin jumps in front of him and is hit by the spell instead. The sorceress is really upset because she thinks she just killed Emrys, and Arthur thinks Merlin is dead as well. Turns out Merlin was turned into a small forest rodent, like a weasel or a stoat. I think there's a magic reveal, too. Any help appreciated! Thanks :)

I've been looking for this fic where merlin is actually a prince from another kingdom where there were a lot of dragons and when they were children Merlin and Gwaine were magically engaged by the Great Dragon. And the palace was attacked and he then grew up in ealdor.

I also remember that as a prince he is known as Emrys (but i may have remembered that detail from another fic wher Merlin is a prince)

I'm pretty sure that the story starts during the episode where Arthur and Merlin meet Gwaine during a bar fight and Merlin reconises him as his fiance and takes him back to Camelot to heal him (like in the series). And later iin the story Gwaine says that he started cleaning the ruins of the palace of the kingdom where they are from.

I'm pretty sure that in this story Merlin is a woman but i'm not totally certain.

I've been looking for it on ao3, wattpad and ff.net but i can't find it and i'm afraid that it's been deleted. If it has and you have the file i'm all for it ;)

I hope there's not a rule against asking multiple times in a row. I promise I searched high and low for all the fics I'm asking about before coming here 😅 there are still a few I've been searching for for months (that's what you get for constantly having like a bajillion tabs open and an endless reading and tbr lists) and this group has been wonderful and so helpful, so here I go again <3

This time I only remember the summary — it was pretty distinct, but searches on ao3 yielded nothing and the reddit group hasn't heard of this one.

Arthur is really stressed because of Morgana's attacks/impending attack, so Merlin starts sleeping with him to help relieve his stress. 

I'm more than sure that both mentions of Morgana as well as relieving Arthur's stress through sex were there in the description.

I found my previous request in a day thanks to a lovely person on here, so let's try this again. I have a list of fics that I don't remember that I search for in free moments and this one is another one that the reddit merlinfic group couldn't remember. I searched through most of the ao3 tags, and also went through the usual hypothermia fic recs, but if it's on there it eludes me T-T

It's a hypothermia fic on the shorter side - they're hiding in a cave? Arthur is freezing/hurt and Merlin tries to make fire from thin twigs and they're both so cold so he tells Arthur it's a dream? (I think) and then he says you won't remember it in the morning and uses magic. I am pretty sure later in the fic Merlin makes his neckerchief into a blanket (someone on reddit remembers the first part, but said the blanket doesn't seem familiar. I'm pretty sure that after that first use of magic Merlin went fuck it and just tried to make them comfortable, but I might be mixing my fics. Either way interested in the blanket fic too if it turns out to be two different fics).

Hi, this is my first ask here, so i hope I'm doing everything right <3 I already tried the reddit Merlinfic group, but unfortunately a few people remember they read the fic, but not the fic's name. 

For the life of me I can't remember this one angsty "Merlin is burned on the pyre" fic.

It was a temporary character death type of thing, I'm pretty sure, and I only remember the beginning. Gaius drugs Arthur on Uther's orders and so Arthur just stands there during the burning. Merlin definitely screams for him and thinks Arthur doesn't even want to look at him. Later on I think Arthur has a "breakdown" -he stands/kneels there for hours unresponsive, not aware of what he's doing - in the courtyard after he realizes that they burned his Merlin and he didn't even notice. 

The drugging was a very specific scene so I hope it nudges someone's memory.

it's called masterchef this is not, and I think they're in high school or college and making omelettes together and one of them ends up on the counter. there are ties involved too and that's really all i can remember.

I’m looking for a fic (Arthur/Merlin), set in canon setting with Arthur as King.
At the start, Arthur discovers Merlin’s magic and reacts with anger. However, when Camelot faces a dangerous approaching army, he needs Merlin to protect the kingdom and coldly orders him to use magic. Merlin goes to the battlefield, unleashes powerful magic, and passes out from overexertion. Afterwards, Arthur feels guilty and takes care of him during his recovery.
I think it was a short to medium-length fic I read early in my time in the fandom but haven’t been able to find again. I’m also open to any recommendations for fics where Merlin uses his magic powerfully. Thank you all.

I'm looking for fics where there's a big reveal with the knights present. Arthur finds out Merlin has magic, and whether or not they knew he had magic previously, the knights come to Merlin's defense. And I mean physically. Verbally knocking some sense into Arthur would be good too, but what I really want is some or all of the knight physically protecting Merlin from the other knights or from Arthur himself.
