Hey guys - new here. Just wanted to share with you people what I've been writing. Comments/criticism welcomed. Thanks.

“A Night of Rain”

You smile and say that you love me, but your traitorous eyes let me know
That what was now is gone forever; stolen away by the ocean.

What ever happens to love after a night of rain?
Can I still love you even though your heart is o so vain?
Why can’t we work through this and end being millionaires?
Don’t leave me all alone, looking through your cruel stare.

Bringing me teddy bears and flowers won’t make up for the bruise
Left on my shoulder from the night that I told you the news.
You said, “Don’t make me kill you”, but I doubt that you can now that I’m gone
Try to find me in the fog, and all the while I’m singing this song:

What ever happens to love after a night of rain?
Do you think I want you after you have left me in such pain?
Why do you want to be with me when neither of us cares?
Just leave me here alone, believing that you’re not there.

Beautiful full moon
Another picture perfect summer night
I wish I could enjoy it
But too much chaos reigns in my life
It seems I’ve fallen
From my pedestal upon high
My heart has been wounded
And I haven’t a trace left of pride

The sides have been chosen
The lines have been drawn
I’ve crossed them with my prose and
I should probably just be gone

And probably I should just go
Somewhere, but where I don’t know
And probably I should just be
But I’m not what you want, I’m me
And probably I should just feel
But I don’t want this love I have to be real
So probably I should keep it to myself

Whispers in the night and

The evening skies are tinted with a delicate cerulean hue
Leisurely combine in romantic splendor as it surrounds you
I watch in wonder as a smile slowly crosses your lips with great delight
Inhaling the midnight fragrance as you take in the beauty of the night

With a tranquil look that has crossed your handsome face
Imagining a time we've spent in another time, another place.
I gaze at you afar in speculation, hoping you feel the same
Contentment overwhelms me as you gently whisper my name

A letter I have written, you read with a smile and a sigh
My words shall be all that you will see tonight
Succumb to your desires with wild abandonment
Allow the sensations to flow through you & live for the moment,
Let them make you unable to withstand all I write
As you give in to our love beneath the candlelight . . .

This night of breathless wonder consumes my very essence

I had started writing this when I first met Des (who is now my husband) I hadn't ever really finished it, but I would really like to. Some suggestions or ideas anyone? Do you like what you've read so far? Some input would be appreciated! ^_^

Settin the steppin, come treble the sound.
A mode of acceptance strattles the ground.
Quick fingers scratch light into me, and
Strengthen the bass with clarity.

Glide across in lines with breaks,
as the creator gives... the monitors take,
the lips they part, the hand come up
to vocalize rhymes and spit out thoughts

Synths and beats, sound gives its pleasure
to a new generation, of notes and measures
Sound comes up, music dies
with the morning lights leaving night behind,
of aching minds, aching bones, confused rights
and dirty clothes.

Exhaused bodies blindly follow,
the darkened cirlces and hollow lungs,
keep tight those eyes so the day me be
refreshed, anew with cleaned impurities.

Till come again another week
day calls for calling out the sheep
to blanket the seedy corners with shade
to hit repeat and start the rave.
