Discussion Group for Little People Big World
Please do read the community rules before joining.
Both pro and con opinions of the show Little People Big World are welcome. Likewise, its great if you love the Roloffs, but it's also just fine if you don't care for some aspects of their lifestyle. To keep things civil, there are some rules for the community. These are rules I've come up with after participating in other LPBW forums.
1. By joining the community you are conceding that you want to talk about the Roloff family, whether it is positive or negative. Whether or not it is right or wrong to talk about real people on a television show is an interesting philisophical discussion, but frankly, if you are joining this community, the point is moot. The community is about the show and the Roloff family
2. Talk about the show, and about the Roloffs. Do not talk about other posters. If you disagree with a comment, feel free to do so, but don't be insulting. Have respect.
3. Have opinions. The moderators of this community understand that sometimes all you may want to say is "I agree!" but far too often in other forums, discussion is cluttered up with too much "Well said" back patting.
4. Don't be passive aggressive or rude. If you disagree with something, say why. Don't merely insult and refuse to explain why you disagree. If you won't own your opinions, and aren't willing to participate except to insult, you will be dropped.
5. Sometimes discussions will edge into bigger issues of Christianity, homosexuality, drunk driving and as long as things stay civil, that is fine. However Livejournal is a diverse environment and if you say something offensive, you're likely to end up on Fandom wank.
6. Obviously there are other LPBW discussion areas. It's ok to talk about them, but again, be civil.
7. Livejournal does not have a cursing filter. Therefore you may see vulgar words.
8. Comments about the Roloffs can certainly be negative, but anyone suggesting violence towards the Roloffs will be banned. Same with stalking behavior, and sexual comments about the younger children. LJ STRONGLY frowns on sexual comments about children. The moderators will bann you and report you.
