from www.afternet.org:
July 6th 2004 - 5pm The huge denial of service on our network has increased, and we cannot afford to maintain services. I think I speak for every user, admin, and ircop when I say this sucks. For those who wish to discuss on irc, we have setup an afternet refugee channel on the freenode IRC network #afternet. Hopefully we can come back online in a few days. :( I have disabled the afternet DNS to protect whats left of our hosts.

Hi! This is basically just a promotion for not only my joint-project site spoOkie poOpie, but also for our newest livejournal community that can be found here : [ spookiepoopie].
I hope that some of you will check it out, perhaps even look through some of the site's content. I do apologize in advance for the pop-ups, and if anything does not load, I recommend that you refresh -- everything should work. Also apologies for any cross-posts.
Thanks so much! -pam

http://uptime.eggheads.org/?botnick=Sway
As I write this, Sway is at position 666.
But here's a brief explanation for people reading this who aren't weird, specialised geeks/losers like myself. Sway (like most of the bots on the list) is an 'eggdrop' IRC bot. That's an automated IRC client for channel management.
The list is basically a list of bots (some are EnergyMech, not Eggdrop) and their relative uptimes. There are usually well over 32,000 bots on the list, transmitting their current uptime via a specific module which you install.
Fun stuff, eh?
