Hey all, I want to order some Sinicuichi this week or next, but I have a few questions before I do so.
The big question would be is, where is a ideal website to order Sinicuichi from?
The other question I have is, how do you go about using it? I have read you can either smoke it or turn it into a tea. I persume if you ingest the plant as a tea, boiling it in hot water to extract it's chemicals would be a ideal fast method to do so, but exactly how much of the plant would one be suggested to drink? As for smoking it, is there any preparation that needs to be done to the plant so that it can be rolled up to smoke? |

Is anyone else having trouble accessing blissherbs.com? I keep getting an error page when I try to call it up. Damn, they're the only carrier I know who has flavored salvia 5x--I was hoping a flavor might help with the taste of the smoke. And I wanted to try Snurf...
Well, in other legal highs news, my schizoaffective disorder's been kind of bad lately. In addition to my medication, I'm using kratom. I was initially skeptical because I have a high tolerance to opiates (they gave me morphine after surgery once and it had no effect on me!). But the kratom takes the edge off the depression, and it kicks in within minutes. It also helps ease the thoughts of violence. A break from my madness is the one thing I really want.
And in still other legal highs news, the doc put me on klonopin. I was on Trazadone for my chronic insomnia, but it wasn't working (and it has no trip value, in case you're wondering--some people on erowid have tried it and I was on three times as much as them). The doc is monitoring me closely to make sure I don't abuse the klonopin, but I've found that the recommended dose works just fine. I fall asleep and have vivid, albeit strange, dreams.
Hope all is well with you all. Stay safe and trip happy! |

I don't drink cough syrup to get high, but recently I've had a cold so I went to 7-Eleven to get cough syrup. I picked up 'Benylin' because I remember that having DXM in it, which is kindof the benefits of having a cold, getting to drink lots of cough syrup. But this morning I checked the bottle and under medicinal ingredients it doesn't even say dextromethorpan. It just says Guainefenisn or somethnig. I looked it up and it has no dissociative effects or anything at all. Then i looked up benilyn online and it said ingredients included DXM. But it doesn't in mine! So i hope they aren't starting to take DXM out of cough syrup because of how some people abuse it.. because that would suck. |

| Introduction and morning glory trip story |

Hi, I'm beckatsila, new to the scene and this community. I search for legal highs to help manage my schizoaffective disorder. An altered state of consciousness helps me feel more sane, more at peace with life.
I used to use alcohol for that, but the psychiatrist gave a veiled threat to take me off my medication if I did not quit drinking. So for now it's a question of which I'm addicted to more, alcohol or my meds. Meds won, but alcohol is hard to give up, so I started looking for other, legal ways to induce a state of altered consciousness. I've got to have a way to unwind.
The rules for my search: 1) It must be legal. 2) It must be affordable (I live on a fixed income). 3) It must be readily available. 4) I must research it (that journalism training pays off).
Anyway, I heard that morning glory seeds serve as a psychadelic. During my research, I learned the following:
1) Only certain types of morning glory seeds--Heavenly Blues, Pearly Gates, and Flying Saucers--produce the desired effect. Seem kind of like promising names, don't they? 2) MG contains d-lysergic acid amide, or LSA. This is a hallucinogen. 3) MG is about 5 to 10 percent as potent as LSD. 4) Many companies treat MG seeds with chemiclals that do not wash off to discourage would-be users. The chemicals cause vomiting, nausea, and abdominal pain. My general rule of thumb is assume the seeds are treated unless you know they aren't. 5) Aztec priests used MG to commune with the gods. 6) Swallowing the seeds whole has no effect. One has to crush the seeds.
Feeling informed and like I had nothing to lose but a few bucks, I ordered an ounce of MG Heavenly Blues from http://www.salviasupply.com. Shipping was a bitch, so I plan to find other sources and grow my own in the future. Anyway, I placed the order on Saturday and they arrived via FedEx on Tuesday. I did some more research online, and decided to go by quantity of seeds instead of weight since I don't have a gram scale. I counted out 100 seeds, ground them in a coffee grinder, poured the powder into a coffee cup, and added cherry Coke to compensate for the bad taste. I drank it down and waited.
The first thing I wondered was "Did I do enough?" I didn't feel anything. Then I had a mild episode of nausea. Then I started feeling really mellow--far more mellow than any of the prescription drugs (Effexor XR, Geodon, Trazadone) make me. I felt serene, almost--there's no real way to describe it. I also felt happy. I didn't feel psychadelic, though.
Then I started feeling really good. And creative. Sensations became stronger. Ideas came easier. And I wasn't bored. I told my LJ buddies thrilldare, kyranthia, and jangojips what I'd done, and how great I felt--I kept repeating myself and I told both thrilldare and kyranthia I'd recommend the experience. Jango(who is under 18) told me to lay off the seeds when I started sharing some rather random ideas, such as how much fun it'd be to strip, cover myself in body paint and run around outside whooping like an Indian. But seriously, MG is just as good as alcohol, but without the feeling and risks of drunkenness.
The trip lasts a few hours and is generally pretty pleasant. It takes about half an hour after ingestion for the trip to start.
Anyway, that's my first intentional legal trip. I've since tried saliva (LOVE it), wormwood (affects me only if I smoke it), skullcap, mugwort, and valerian (which I use in tea form to treat self-destructive episodes). I'm open to any suggestions for new trips, but keep in mind my rules! |

| "Brett's Law" = i.e. Ban of Salvia Passes in Delaware |

|
brief note. brief background on law
Salvia is now illegal in the state of Delaware and is classified as a Schedule I narcotic (Schedule 1 = same level as heroin, cocaine, crack, etc.). This eponymous law immediately follows the suicide of Brett Chidester, 17, who used salvia recreationally. His parents blame Salvia for the death of their child. |

April 29, 2006 Mexico Passes Law Making Possession of Some Drugs Legal By JAMES C. McKINLEY Jr. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/29/world/americas/29mexico.html
MEXICO CITY, April 28 — Mexican lawmakers passed a sweeping new drug law early Friday that would crack down on small-time dealers, legalize the possession of small quantities of drugs and mandate treatment for addicts.
Under the bill, it would be legal to have 25 milligrams of heroin, a fifth of an ounce of marijuana or half a gram of cocaine. The bill also makes it legal to possess small amounts of LSD, hallucinogenic mushrooms, amphetamines and peyote.
President Vicente Fox had proposed the law in January 2004 in the hopes of slowing down the rapid growth in drug addiction and the ranks of small-time dealers that has hit Mexican cities and towns in recent years, just as it has long plagued American cities.
( from the NYTimes: Breaking Legal Highs News, MexicoCollapse )
Wow.
Looks like going to Cancun for Spring Break is going to substantially increase for US College Students, and well, tourism as a whole a la Amsterdam.
