My new iPhone 6 came via UPS today and so far I am loving it. The battery is lasting so much longer, but that might be partly because my 5 was 2 years old. Still, it's nice to be able to leave things like Siri and location services turned on without having my phone die after an hour or two or usage! And I really like the larger size and the look of the new OS. I'm disappointed that I have to wait for health kit and for the ability to send and receive SMS from my iPad and my Macs, but patience, it is a virtue, right?

Speaking of Apple, I'm doing the free public beta for OS X Yosemite and so far I love it. It's gorgeous and I love the new features. So, technology is making me happy right now.

Hi, livejournal, it's been awhile.

If you didn't get the memo, subject lines on the system comment pages are back. About freaking time, right?

In the world of me, I'm a couple if weeks in to my third semester at MTI and school has been going pretty well. I quit Walmart back in January and worked from home through tax season. Then I got laid off after tax season was over and last month I found a job as a secretary in a small law office. I've been doing that for a few weeks now and it's going pretty well. There's a LOT to learn, but I'm enjoying the work so far.

The other big thing in my life right now is that I am going to have a biopsy next week bc my first ever mammogram revealed a tiny calcification that May or may not be something not awesome. The good news is that if it is something, it's super early and they're going to take it out just to be extra safe. But I guess this makes me a poster child for why women should definitely get those mammograms done, Y/Y.

Other than that, life is pretty much the same. My cat is still freakishly adorable, I'm still RPing, blah blah blah. I'm sure I'll spam with kitty pictures soon.

I just finally got around to reading the Divergent Trilogy and now everything sucks and I need, like, all the mien gifs immediately.

Seriously, are we sure Joss Whedon didn't write it? Because that was such a Joss move.

I have another sinus infection. This one's a persistent little bugger. I've been taking levaquin since Friday and yesterday my doctor called in a steroid dose pack along with some anti-nausea medicine, because the post nasal drip has been making me feel so nauseated.

I gave my two week notice to Walmart, so I feel a little bad that I've been having to call out, but I guess it is what it is. My last day is January 2nd. I don't officially have a new job yet, but I have some strong possibilities and I also will have my financial aid money for school to fall back on come January, so it's not a super dire situation.

Next semester, I'm taking Accounting 2, Multimedia Concepts and Desktop Publishing and I am really excited for the latter 2, especially. I should only have one class in the summer, thanks to transfer and life experience credits and then I'll "graduate" with my office technology specialist certificate before continuing on to an associates program.

And I finished the semester with a 4.0, which I am super proud of.
