This community is for fanfiction and fanart (including RPF) featuring former As the World Turns actors Jake Silbermann and/or Van Hansis, plus any characters they play (past, present, or future). Content does not need to include both Jake and Van, but it must heavily feature at least one of them (or one of his characters). Yes, we know it's called "Jansisfic," but "ficwithVanorJake" was too long and kinda ungainly. ;)
Because communities already exist for fanfic/art with a primarily Luke/Noah or Luke/Reid focus, we prefer that those be posted to the appropriate community (
luke_noah or lure_atwt). If you aren't sure, ask the moderator. (All RPF stories are allowed here, even those that are also allowed at these other communities.)
Please list any and all pairings in the headers of your post. No surprises! (If you feel pairings would spoil your story, then use a description such as "pairings withheld for spoilers.") Including a brief description for people/characters from shows/areas other than As the World Turns is also a good idea (such as "Scott Evans is the actor who played gay cop Oliver Fish on One Life to Life").
We prefer that content be posted directly to the community, but we understand that some people prefer to use their own personal journal/community and post links only, so linking is fine as well. Content may also be crossposted to other communities as appropriate.
Requests, prompts, searches, and recommendations are allowed.
Do not promote other communities/personal journals (including those housing your fanfic only) without moderator approval. A link to your personal journal/master list/community within a content post is fine.
Please place all video embeds, images over 400 pixels wide, and fanfiction behind a lj-cut. Header information should remain outside the cut. Posts with multiple images should include only one image outside the cut, except icon posts, where up to 5 icons may appear outside the cut.
PLEASE USE TAGS, THANK YOU! If you can't find a specific tag you want/need (like an author/artist-specific tag), go ahead and post and PM the mod with your tag request.
All posts are automatically locked to members only and should remain that way. If you have a reason for making a public post, please contact the moderator. Public posts made without permission will be deleted.
Because this is an adult community labeled adult content, and we're all adults here, warnings on posts are not required, but they are encouraged. In particular, please warn for potentially triggering content such as rape or torture.
NO BASHING OF REAL PEOPLE ALLOWED. That includes actors and other fans. Bash a character if you must, but be prepared to get backlash in comments. Commenters, if you object to an author's characterization, remember to focus on the story in your response, not the author.
In general, breaking a rule will get you warned and/or your post/comment deleted (comment threads may also be frozen). A second offense may result in banning. However, everything will be taken on a case-by-case basis, and the moderator has the final say.
Send questions, complaints, suggestions, and so on to the moderator. For now, that'd be me,
noelleleithe. :)
