The 100x100 pixel version of Shangri-La.

A little set of Data icons because I am currently obsessed.

1 is a reference to Nemesis and the Bible verse "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

2-4 use a scratch grunge brush from Smashing Magazine.

7 is a quote of CS Lewis.

9 refers to Data's ode to Spot.

Captures snagged from user positronicboyfriend on Photobucket.

8 is from a pattern envelope.
9-12 are random artwork from sources I don't recall now.

I love the song "Blue Tango", especially when sung by Nelson Eddy, so the following icons are a tribute both to the song and the dance itself. Images pulled from a Blingo.com image search.

No. 13 is Rudolph Valentino. "There's nothing like tile for the tango" is pulled from "Sunset Boulevard".

By request of bluetango1923, with pleasure, I present the Rudolph Valentino colourbar. :-D

(Click on these twice to get to the full-size version.)

And, because this idea amused me, a Fredric March Plus Hats colourbar:

And hey, why not. A Rudy friends-only banner, too - ( here under the cut, three different colourisationsCollapse )

OK... here are 16 icons of James Cagney and George Raft from "Each Dawn I Die".

Also a stray "G-Men" icon featuring The Cagney. :-)

Usual rules apply. Commenting and crediting are lovely.

I might mention that No. 2 just got first place at classicicontest. Shhh... don't tell a soul.

1-14 are "Sylvia Scarlett" icons I made this evening because... well, I love this movie far too much.
15-18 were made for classicicontest's Cary Grant challenge and are from "Sylvia Scarlett" and "Holiday".
19 is Donald Crisp and Roddy McDowall in "How Green Was My Valley.
20: Lionel Barrymore and Edward Arnold, "You Can't Take It With You"
21, 22: Made for classicicontest's Gary Cooper challenge.
23: Lew Ayres, "All Quiet on the Western Front"

As usual, comments are love and crediting iconway is appreciated if you take and use any of these.

Enjoy!

Two Victor Jory wallpapers...

The following is a still from "Escape From Devil's Island":

And one I did yesterday - capture from "A Midsummer Night's Dream", with Anita Louise:

Davycentric icons. Because for whatever reason, he fascinates me.

These are all caps from Dead Man's Chest. As usual, commenting is nice. Crediting is love.

Two versions of a new wallpaper...

This is my favourite:

I was experimenting with making James look a little transparent in this one:

Five Ronald Colman/Vilma Banky icons!

Comment, credit please, no hotlinky, enjoy.
