Hunter Committee

Hey guys,

No idea whether anyone still uses this community, but hey, there's over 700 people subscribed XD so maybe at least a couple of you will see this...

Recently I got back into this fandom, after being out for almost 10 years! First I found the hxh subreddit, then the fanfic on Ao3, and then I realized there was actually a really active fandom on tumblr (for a manga that hasn't consistently updated since 2014, go figure).

Anyway, I signed up for a ship zine (Killugon) on tumblr called Milestones, figuring I'd make some friends XD and also because it had a bunch of fic authors I liked from Ao3 in it. There's both fanart and fanfiction from 30+ contributors, and it's an all-ratings zine meaning most of the content is adorable and harmless, and 2-3 pieces imagine the characters as adults in sexual situations.

Anyway, here's the links:
https://milestonesxzine.tumblr.com/
https://gumroad.com/milestoneszine
https://www.etsy.com/shop/MilestonesZineShop?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

Currently We're a couple orders short of our goal of 35 preorders needed for the initial print run of the zine, so I figured I'd come over here and see if anyone was interested.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm in this zine as a writer, so I've seen the art and writing submissions. The quality is very high, for both art and writing. Do me a favor and buy this, so I can also get my copy <3

Hi everyone! Long time no see! (Is anyone still here?)

This post is actually a kind of 'blast from the past', since I finally got around to editing some cosplay photos from a shoot I did with friends back in 2015.

You can view all the pictures in this post at my journal! That post mostly has the Gon and Killua photos, but there's some links to posts where I posted group pics and other random pictures from that shoot as well. ^^

Hope you enjoy!

I may or may not be one of the first/few people to notice this and I'm sorry if maybe this keeps getting brought up. I just thought this might be an interesting-ish fact to know about our favourite- at least my favourite- clown. (He's not a clown but you know..)

In episode 142, Hisoka and Illumi are talking about getting Killua and stopping him from taking Alluka to Gon. Hisoka decides to joke around and say 'Am I allowed to kill Killua?' which makes Illumi get all crazy, etc. But if you're like me, then you probably noticed his weird hand position. (kudos if you already knew what it meant but I didn't).I thought it was odd but I just passed it off to myself as an 'error in the animation'. Later, as I'm reading/looking through the original manga (by that I mean the manga with it's original Japanese text) I came across that chapter again. As I read it I noticed that the word Hisoka uses in the manga isn't kill, the verb he uses can be translated as 'do'. And if you're dirty minded or whatever then you might think he's implying something else - which would make sense because it is Hisoka after all. I thought that that was all, just a Hisoka joke but then I noticed the hand thing again. Instead off thinking it was Togashi messing up his anatomy I decided to look that gesture up.

With some brief research I learned that the gesture implies sex or it can be used to be a way to bring up the subject. And I guess that would be a good reason for the translators to change that in the anime and manga if it meant Hisoka was planning to rape Killua. One thing I'm confused on is how he put his fingers, from the pictures I've seen the thumb is supposed to be between your pointer and middle finger but Hisoka's wasn't. Is that the symbol for using it when talking about a male since he was talking about Killua? Either way, whichever one Hisoka had said would've been a Hisoka thing to say and either of them would've upset Illumi like that. Hisoka is pretty perverse nonetheless.

I guess that is all. Just wanted to bring up this thing about Hisoka that maybe some of you haven't noticed or heard about. If you have any thing to say about this or any information to add or if you simply want to correct me on anything then please let me know. I also did not intend to upset or offend anyone, if I did in any way.

(Btw if you want me to go over any other theories/ships/character analysis's for hunterxhunter ((or any anime)) then feel free to let me know. I also write fan fiction)

Hi, is anyone still here? (^o^)/
Last weekend I visited Animecon in The Hague, the Netherlands, and for the Sunday I arranged to meet up with a bunch of Hunter x Hunter cosplayers for a photoshoot. It was a hassle to organize and we never did manage to gather all the cosplayers in the same place at the same time, but we did take some awesome solo and pair photos. During the whole day, there was a Gon, Killua (me~ ^-^), two Kurapikas, Leorio (kinda...) Bisuke, Feitan, Illumi, Kikyou and two Neferpitous. Maybe more, if I missed some people. ^^;

Here's a shot from when we'd gathered a few of them together:

I don't have pictures of everybody (yet?), but I posted the pics that I did get to my journal here, so check it out if you're interested:

Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy!

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone here happens to own the original series DVDs and is interested in selling? Or if not, if anyone knows of a good source for these? I've purchased the Chinese set in the past and the subtitles were not good, so I'd really like to find the US versions, if possible.

Thanks!

Hi everyone! I have some Hunter x Hunter phone charms for sale over at my selling post.

Cheers,
Nozomi

Hello everyone, long time no see!  I realized it's been over a year since I translated any of these (I'm so sorry! ) and I'd skipped over volume 9 before. But now I have it, so here you go!  This CD's theme was a big party to commemorate the 100th episode of HxHR, and it also has segments of Gon and Killua talking to the other's seiyuu, it's lots of fun! =D

Hello! I have one Illumi/Killua doujinshi for sale if anyone is interested. The details can be found here at my sales post! Thanks!

I picked up the 7th volume of Hunter x Hunter Treasure, which I randomly spotted at a convenience store while checking for the latest Jump issue. It just came out... Wait, tomorrow!? The release date in the book actually says "December 25th 2013", but it was in the store today. Huh... =S

Anyways, these "Treasure" volumes are just big collections of 3 manga volumes in one book, but I saw that this particular one had some interviews with the seiyuu about the movie as an extra, so I bought it so I could read and translate those leasurely at home.

Otherwise it just covers chapters 186 - 222 of the manga printed in large A4 format format, but also has some nice colour pages and character profiles (different from the guidebook ones, so they have some updated information. I particularly love how Gon's "key person" is Kaito, while Killua's is "Gon". So true but so sad... u.u )

Here's some photos of pages that I found to be of interest, and a full translation of the seiyuu interviews!

Warning! The interviews contain some spoilers for the movie!

Maybe everyone already saw this, but this week Nippon TV has been airing a trailer for the Chimera ant arc!  Only a few days to go! Who else is exited!? =DD

It seems like we might be getting a new soundtrack, 'cause I don't remember hearing the BGM in the trailer anywhere before...!

Also, can anyone identify which scenes from the manga are in the trailer? It's been too long since I read it, and I don't have access to my manga right now. I'm especially curous about the part with Killua saving Gon, 'cause I don't remember anything like that so early in the arc... ^^; .  What chapter was that, and what was going on...?

hey everyone, they have revealed the cast of the
Chimera Ant arc along with their sketches. i will leave
the link of the article for those to read. enjoy!

Hey everyone! I translated an interview with Yoshihiro Togashi from a magazine I bought in Japan. There's some questions in there we've seen him answer before, but also some interesting new stuff, so I thought I'd share. ^^

( Read more...Collapse )

I've made a fanart and some pages of doujin to my fanfic.
Will be more update on fanart, doujin. Usually revolve around KuroroxKruapika.
it's a very small world for HxH in where I am now. I'd like to know anyone with same interest.
KuroKura, or just HxH in general. I love everything about this manganime.

Visit my LJ? Thanks!

Hi everyone! Last Sunday I visited Tsunacon, an anime con held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This was my last con before I'm moving to Japan next month, so wanting to make the best of it, I'd been planning a big HxH group for that. But about half of them didn't show up  (boo! =3=), so we ended up with 4 people this time. Which was still awesome, of course =D

With umihoshias Kuroro, mimi91chanas Hisoka, tacticiandinas Gon and me as Killua

I chose to cosplay one of Killua's outfits from Yorkshin in the 2011 anime this time, because I really loved the colour scheme of this particular outfit in the new anime. <3  (And it was easy to make it with supplies I already happened to have on hand XP )

Anyways, a few pics from the con's official photo studio are here, and our own pics are here.
We took a lot, so beware of image-heavy-ness~ XD

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy!

I translated the lyrics of Han Megumi, Ise Mariya and Aya Hirano's song, Nagareboshi☆Kirari, which they recorded for the Phantom Rouge movie. It was included on the CD-single release of "Reason" by Yuzu, the main theme song for the movie and new ending for the anime.

You can read the lyrics at my journal here.

Officially this is not a character song, but going by the lyrics, I think that it was totally written with the intention to be one originally...!

I translated this one a while ago, but it seems I forgot to post to the community here when I finished it. So for those who haven't listened to it yet, here it is. ^^;;;

Sarracenia's Night is an original mystery story, it's about 45 minutes long. It takes place at the end of Yorkshin, while Kurapika is down with a fever and the main four plus Senritsu are staying in that old building together. Gon and Killua bring in some get-well presents for Kurapika, with the best intentions, but then some mysterious incidents start to happen!  Who, or what, could be the culprit...?

Download and read the translations here:
Part 1
Part 2

This one is REALLY good!!  It gets a tad serious and rather touching (I cried... ^^; )  but it has some funny moments as well. I highly recommend it! And I'd love to hear what you thought of it! ^-^

Hey everyone, I've translated a Hunter x Hunter R special CD, called LeoKuradio. It's more than an hour of Leorio and Kurapika goodness! Apparently they had their own little segment on HxH R, where they had listeners send postcards to request what they wanted them to do, and they acted out some of the best and funniest requests! All of those mini-acts are collected on this CD. ^^

Part 1
Part 2

I also added two more scanlations to my new scanlations masterpost. You can find them and all the ones I did earlier,  here.

Enjoy! ^^

Hi everyone, and merry christmas!  Today I bring you translations of a few segments from HxH R, volume 10, with the highly inappropriate theme of "Summer vacation"!  But it's fun so I wanted to do it anyways. X'D

This CD has segments from the radio shows that were held around the time of the production of the second musical, so there's some stuff about the musical in it too.

Hey everyone! Last weekend I was at Nishicon, a weekend anime convention held in Haarlem, the Netherlands. I organized a little Hunter x Hunter cosplay group there, so I'd like to share some pictures. (If anyone cares... ^^;  If not, sorry for spamming! ORZ; *hides* )

We were recognized a lot! Like... 4 or 5 times throughout the day! That's more than ever before! Is it because we had a Leorio this time? XD  Maybe it's because the new anime has been running for over a year now, all the people who talked to us seemed to know about it. It was really too bad we didn't have a Gon. We seem to be one person short of getting a complete group every time! At Yaycon we missed Leorio, now at Nishi we missed Gon, and at Tsunacon next year we'll probably miss Kurapika... u.u Somehow it's kinda unsatisfying, I mean, how hard can it be...!?  XP  We had Illumi this time though, who was terrifyingly awesome! <3

Anyways...
Leorio / Kurapika pictures are here:
http://willeke4439.livejournal.com/273476.html
(They deserve their own post because they were so awesome together! )

All other pictures (mostly Killua and Illumi) are here:

Thanks for looking!

Hey everyone! I'm terribly sorry for the delay, but today I finally got in my copies of the lastest two character song cds!

There's only 2 new songs on each CD, the rest of the tracks are just more versions of the opening and ending, and some instrumental remixes. So I kinda felt ripped off, because they were just as expensive as the previous cds, and those had twice as many new songs... ^^; ,

Anyways, the songs we did get, are very nice!  You can check out the English translations at my journal here:
Honki vs. Kyouki  by Hisoka and Gon
Osu! Shugyou'ssu!  by Zushi
[1/13] by Kuroro
Ito~ cruel spider~  by Machi

-----------------------------------------

Also, on a somewhat unrelated note but I didn't want to make an entire new post for it, I cosplayed as Killua again at MGC Experience, a small anime con in the Netherlands. This time I did his outfit from episode 11 of the Greed Island Final OVA, from the battle with Gensuru's group. You can see a few pictures of it at my journal here or at my cosplay.com account here!

Hey guys, they featured the new trailer.... It in here..

So excited and the Illumi outfit :DD

Hi guys!

I was considering getting this set of figures but I only want Kurapika so I was wondering if anyone wants to take Gon off my hands? He will cost USD$25 excluding shipping which will probably be about $8 to anywhere in the world.

Also, is anyone interested in these series too? I am thinking of shipping a couple of them over from Japan and selling the ones I don't want so I would like to see the interest for them before I decide whether I will definitely get them or not! Each will be USD$5 excluding shipping and I can probably squeeze up to 3 inside an envelope for $1.90 shipped to anywhere :)

Hello everyone! (^_^) Today I bring you

I typed the two tracks lyrics(again without translation :D)

Chrollo's song was about, hmm, stealing of course, I'm really bad at song summary, so just listen to it.
