So, yesterday was a bit better for Nate, so it was for me. He was obviously feeling a bit better as he was into his regular routine, more or less. Listened to his music and sang into his microphone. Anyone that can sing is feeling better, I must assume. And he wanted his taco from Kiki's last night and watched his wrestling.
He did pee on the carpet next to his bed sometime in the early hours which I gave him a lecture about..."Call me Nate, you are not a baby! I will help you to the bathroom, do not PEE ON THE FLOOR!!!" As I was cleaning it up, he said, "The dog did that, not me..." Right, sure, likely story... He did it because he couldn't walk but he got a good piece of my and Cecil's mind. We have to treat him as normally as possible and one of the reasons we moved him upstairs was to avoid the floor peeing. I hope it made an impression, he did call me several times yesterday for us to help him into his chair to get to the bathroom... His foot is still very swollen, hot and inflamed but not as bad as the day before and it seems, not as painful. "This too shall pass..." My Mom's words when I called and was crying. I try and not cry but I am a big baby...
The winds are supposed to blow hard today (yuck!) so I am staying in and it is definitely colder this morning. It is snowing in Ruidoso (watching the web cam) and looks so cold up there. Have to work on income taxes (yuck!) and finish some orders. On days like this, with the windows rattling, cloudy and the temps dropping, I just want to curl up and read a book. Can't do that but maybe Cecil will make his mom's banana bread (with crushed pineapple in it!) and that would make it all better. Hah!
Time to move, check on Nate and maybe take a short nap in my Lazy-boy.

So El Paso official government buildings are all unhelpful and suck ass.
Everytime I go to get Social Security, driver's license, or any sort of official bullshit, the people there are unhelpful and half the time get me what I need because they say I don't have some official paper or something, when in EVERY OTHER TOWN I've been in, they don't need any of that.
And just WHY do they have a "Drivers license" DPS building that only does drivers' license? I went there because it's the only Department of Public Safety I know anything about, and they told me I was in the wrong building.
