another incoherant ramble that i just needed to say. dont read it if you're expecting anything interesting. its just my own way of blinding feeling my way around the edges of this crazy place.

by the way, does anyone know the name of a short story about a man who is convinced he's some sort of alien, and he hates life and goes insane and commits suicide, wakes up on the alien planet to realise he was an alien sent to earth to experience all of the good things, because the planet he comes from is full of hurt and torture, and he totally blew his chance because he didnt know what he had? i really want to find it, we studied it in english last year...

just saw eternal sunshine for the first time tonight
and this probably sound so predicable
but it made me think about the way that people work. the way that people have their own universe that they live in, that is inevitably centered abround themselves and is moulded by their interactions with everyone else
it made me think that everyone who you come into contact with enters your mind, lives there in your memories, and shapes your universe. even people you dont know, even a passing glance. and how the same applies in reverse, how you affect everyone you've ever seen, everyone who ever sees you, how you shape their universe. and this struck me as being such a beautiful thing, that everyone is so connected to the people around them, that maybe, somehow, everyone matters because other people wouldnt be the same people without them, and how, in turn, people they know wouldnt be the same. i know i'm rambling, but i feel so hopeful and i had to share it. for the first time in a while i gues si'm considering the possibility that death isn't the only reason for life..
