When someone lands on the repository, nothing at the top shows its build
state, the published versions, the license or where to talk to us. Thus,
add a row of badges under the banner for CI, PyPI, the latest release,
stars, the license, Discord and X.

The license badge is static (MIT OR Apache-2.0), since GitHub's detected
license reports only Apache-2.0 for this dual-licensed repository.

  • The checks in CONTRIBUTING.md pass
  • Docs updated where behavior changed (a crate's README, docs/, or the vendor tables)
  • For a vendor or tool vendor: the live check was run
