I didn't get any response from github about github copilot. Please either accept me for the technical support or reject me. I just want a response. |

we are granting access to a limited number of testers for free, during the technical preview. We want to use the preview to learn how people use GitHub Copilot and what it takes to operate it at scale. If the technical preview is successful, our plan is to build a commercial version of GitHub Copilot in the future. As we will add more users over time, we keep the waiting list open, we cannot commit to a timeline yet though. |

Hi, I am currently a GitHub Student and have enrolled in the Developer Pack. Will GitHub Copilot be a feature available for students? (At the time I am writing this comment, GitHub Copilot has been released commercially and anyone is eligible for a free trial without any billing method.) |

I applied for it like 3-4 months ago and I still have nothing... I guess the waitlist is really random, a lot of people around me are getting it for 1 to 2 weeks. |
I'm here waiting for more than 5 months after I told people to sign in to it and they got it after a week... |
Absolutely nothing. Some are saying that the queue for Copilot is based on your work on GitHub (repositories making, forking, following people), but it's not true at all. People are getting it after 1-2 weeks and they have nothing in their profiles, like it's literally empty profile. |

I have a verified student GitHub pro account and in the copilot section of the settings, it tells me to complete a subscription to copilot (I also got in the technical preview). I read that students have free access to copilot. What am I supposed to do? Do I have to stay still and wait for it to activate again for free or what? UPDATE: |

Same thing happened to me. Glad someone figured that out! When I opened VSCode, github copilot was showing me errors. |
