With 0.21.0-insiders2 (which adds doc comment support when the comment is above the declaration/definition),

int var; // helpful info

No doc comments are shown when the comment is on the right-side (for hover/signatureHelp/completion). I think this is currently "by design" or "TODO". This is implemented in VS, so it seems like we should do this too.
