Add matching preferences and debug arguments while preserving --debug as the UI alias and migrating the saved engine preference. Resolve CLI, environment, and preference levels independently for each output; update the User Guide and regression tests.
Resolve source fixture lookup in copied package trees, older Python and Qt test APIs, optional libopenshot mocks, and startup test timing. Keep camera keyframes immutable without dataclasses and track synchronous feedback commands per thread. Add package-layout CI coverage. Validate 704 tests on Bionic, Focal, Jammy, and Resolute with one existing FFmpeg fixture skip per container; all 704 pass locally with portal integration enabled.
