Nextcloud cannot connect to Snap OnlyOffice Docs! #157

Description

@ronbass

Error when trying to connect (Error occurred in the document service: Error while downloading the document file to be converted.) (version 9.3.1.8)
Hi,
I reinstalled OnlyOffice on the Nextcloud server using Snap version because the seperate version on another Linux server stopped working and kept giving me error 502 Nginx error, I reinstalled again from scratch the server with no success, nothing was changed when it stopped communicating with it.
In both cases, the welcome and example pages could be accessed using the local IP and the https://nextserver addresses.

I used the self-signed certificate for Onlyoffice on port 444 since the Nexcloud server is already using a Let's Encrypt certificate.
I checked Disable certificate otherwise it will give another error: "cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem."

I may be missing some elements for this kind of installtion, but I could not find any help online about it, cases are so much different from one to another.
I would appreciate some assistance in this regard.
Thank you.

Hi @ronbass ! Sorry for late response.

Could you share the Document Server logs from around the time the error happens (specifically the converter log)? That should show us exactly why the download from Nextcloud is failing.

Hi, I will not be able to send you the log because lately, I noticed in the log that someone from Budapest tried to compromise my server, I was surprised as I thought this was not possible since only the Https port is open on the Wan side.
So I could not login and the home page gave me a popup error, I was not able to find the issue so I took it offline and completely uninstall it.
I then reinstall it but did not install the Only Office Snap server, I am not very familiar with Snap commands and I wish there was a complete guide about installing Nextcould and Only Office Community edition on the same SNAP server in a successful way.
There is always the issue that Only office settings don't accept the IP adress if it is not HTTPS, but I cannot have the same LetsEncrypt certificate for both accesses, only for Nextcloud.
    Thank you.

    Hi @ronbass

Everything you need is in the README: https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/snap-documentserver/blob/master/README.md — it covers the install, HTTPS with certificates, and ports.

If the download error comes back, share the converter log and we'll take a look.

    Hi,
I have already followed both Github installations instructions for both Nextcloud and OnlyOffice snap methods, I still think that there are only steps to do but no explanation about why we need to type in certain commands and the outcome of them.
So I have again installed first Onlyoffice, with the self signed certificate which is not recognaized by Nextcloud settings, nevertheless when I type in the IP address for Office after changing the SSL to 444 and the WELCOME page is opening well, I see the same error below. If you need a log file, kindly send its exact filename to retreive it for you.
Nextcloud has the Letsencrypt certificate properly installed in 2nd phase, the server is local so I disabled the ports on the router side.
I just need to use it on my lan for the moment then will open it on the WAN if all is working fine.

Thank you for your precious help in this matter.

If it can help, content of my /etc/hosts file

The deprecated line for http2 cannot be resolved as changes will automatically revert to original code.
I hope you can help me with this as I still have no update from your side, thank you.
