We set the parent of the settings dialog to the account switcher popup when opening the settings from the popup. Since that dialog gets closed when the button is clicked, the settings dialog would close. This is only a problem if the settings aren't opened before the button is clicked on the account switcher, since the parent of the settings dialog only gets set once.
