UnsupportedApiVersion using managed identity in Azure Functions #14670

ManagedIdentityCredential fails in Functions apps on Linux Consumption hosting plans with an UnsupportedApiVersion error, for example: "(UnsupportedApiVersion) The HTTP resource that matches the request URI 'http://localhost:8081/msi/token?api-version=2019-08-01&resource=https://vault.azure.net' does not support the API version '2019-08-01'"

This affects azure-identity 1.5.0b1 and b2 and will be fixed in the next release (early November). Until then, applications deploying to Linux Consumption plans should use azure-identity 1.4.1.
