Black screen loop on TCL Google TV (Android 11) after disabling launcherx #16

TV: TCL 55C647, Google TV on Android 11 (model shows as "Smart TV Pro", device BeyondTV4)
tv-detox: com.ansub.tvhome 1.2.0, installed with install.sh

What I did:

1. Ran install.sh with my app list and answered N at the launcher prompt. Home still opened Google TV home (as the script warned).
2. Then turned off com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx (pm disable-user), set the HOME role to com.ansub.tvhome (role holder confirmed), and ran set-home-activity. Waited 20 s, then restarted.

What happened:

• After restart, Home resolved to com.google.android.tungsten.setupwraith/.RecoveryActivity, not tv-detox.
• Screen stayed black; RecoveryActivity kept relaunching (new task IDs every few seconds). Pressing Home or starting com.ansub.tvhome went back to it.
• setupwraith's RecoveryActivity HOME filter has priority 1; tvhome's MainActivity uses the default (0).
• Re-enabling launcherx fixed it immediately. setupwraith was never turned off.

Side effect: re-enabling launcherx did not restore its notification listener access (Google TV showed "You're missing important alerts"). Fixed with:
cmd notification allow_listener com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx/.coreservices.notificationlistener.TvNotificationListenerService

Question: is there a safe way to make tv-detox the Home screen on Google TV / Android 11 where setupwraith has a priority-1 RecoveryActivity?
